Somebody anybody, please tell me how this place stays in business, the food here is horrible, nasty, and the customer service is so Terrible. The name of this place is misleading, they do not cook like the people of New Orleans. I will rather give my money to charity than buy from this place. The food is trash. I promise you it's a waste of money. I am so pissed.

I'm not sure how this place is still in business ... No seasoning on food, the shrimp and turkey necks were not fresh but tasted old. The wings were hard like they just reheated it. It was just absolutely terrible ....

No proper hygiene methods for customers or themselves, fish is old, no one from new Orleans work there, no restroom. They use restrooms outside and tell customers to do the same. They use seafood and turkey meat in the same pan and laugh

Can't cook crawfish the right way

Lyra Giles

Let me start by saying that I grew up a consiberable portion of my childhood in Louisiana. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to crawfish.

This is quite literally the worst crawfish I've come across, period. I bought some for my pregnant wife (important considering what we are about to get into) because she's been craving it. The restaurant look like shit and was fly infested, but at least the service was passable. Not a horrible start, plenty of places I love have shoddy appearance, but then we watch as they make the food.

In short, it's ALL frozen. Obviously some things (like frog legs, chicken, etc.) can be with no issue; that doesn't apply to crustaceans. Even frozen for a little bit, the meat goes bad. The crawfish was very, very obviously frozen. Not only that, but the crawfish had very clearly been frozen for an extended period of time. A month at the very least. The crawfish quite literally tasted like swamp water.

Additionally, it was very obvious that all of the food in the tray was post-seasoned, not cooked in the seasoning. To some not important. For me and my wife, extremely important.

Do not spend money on the crawfish here at the very least. The crab (also frozen) may be good, the oysters (also frozen) may be spectacular. Do not buy the crawfish, under any circumstances.

The crab legs didn’t have any meat in them. They were still cold in the inside. It had a sweet taste to it. I did not like it. The crawfish are extremely small.

First time in years. Located on Candler Rd across from McDonald's and next to New Life church in a little plaza.
They only boil the food, no frying. You choose what you want and they'll cook it in whatever seasoning you like. Very clean. It's not a dine in place, everything is take out. This is the original seafood boil place. They have just about everything you may want. Frog legs, sausage, shrimp, scallops, fish, and of course crab legs.

I was not all that impressed. It was decent. But for the money and taste I find my usual place is still better. Every now and then the wife and I look for alternatives so that's how I ended up at TA's.
2 jumbo snow clusters
1 pound regular shrimp
3 potatoes
$60 post tax

At my place I get 2 regular clusters 2 potatoes and a half pound of shrimp. $40 post tax. And I'll get 2 corns with it... corn at TA's is extra.

I could add a cluster, a potato and a half pound of shrimp and still be cheaper.

As far as food itself is concerned, the flavor is ok but they overcooked the heck outta the shrimp.

The guy working at TA was professional, addressing customers as Sir or Ma'am. He said 15 to 20 but it was really closer to a 25 to 30 min wait for food on a Saturday night... thats NOT bad at all.

My main grievance is the cost. Quality was mid. Customer service A+. Cleanliness A+
