I really don’t want to leave a perfect review because this is our favorite neighborhood spot and we don’t want it to be more popular than it already is! Going there always fills our hearts. Food is good and comes fast. Menu is streamlined. Service is not fussy. They know what good food is and what makes people happy.

Order first then get a seat. Pretty busy at peak times and weekends. Loved the corn chowder. Has just enough spice. Chicken enchilada with lemon sauce is amazing. Seating inside and out on the covered patio. Will try something else on our next visit. Very popular and reasonably priced.

Others have written about the food. I'm going to tell you some of their many unwritten rules. For example, there's a kids' menu that I may have seen actually printed (gasp!) but only in the last few months, despite my 10+ years of awareness of its secret existence.

You can sit at the bar anytime there are open seats, unless they are running an unannounced wait-list on busy nights. Then you will get bounced back to the door line.
You used to be able to order to-go only from the bar, limited to an arbitrary number of items (4?). Recently, however, when the cashier needed to handle the line but was out of tables (you do understand the line moves at the speed others complete their dining and leave, right?), she called multi-item to-go orderers out of the line. Be ready in case you can expedite your wait.
I have never seen a price posted for margaritas. People are going to order them, I guess, so why disclose how much they'll have to pony up?
Got a large party? Do not, under any circumstances, push tables together yourself. Wait for the staff or risk the wrath.
The oranges in the bowls really are free.
I think that's most of what I've gleaned over the years. May it stand you in good stead. Remember to bow not only to the tacos here, but the staff and their secret systems, and you'll be fine.
