Excellent food (their carnitas is amazing!) and a good choice for both a quick meal or an evening of conversation over margaritas. A local favorite!

A local gem with wonderful food at a reasonable price! We’ve visited at least once or twice a month for the last year and it never disappoints. They have extensive gluten free options and a salsa bar. We also love their outdoor patio and margaritas/cocktails. Love this place!
Dietary restrictions: Very knowledgeable and accommodating of celiac/gluten free diet

This neighborhood taqueria is one of our favorite spots! All of your typical Mexican favorites plus some unique menu items and THE BEST SALSA BAR! Drinks are yummy, too!
We also hosted an event here on a Sunday afternoon for about 50 people, and it was WONDERFUL! Rob and his team are a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend for a casual and fun event with a very easy planning process.
Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly!

There are to many good Mexican restaurants around to settle for this one. In a half empty restaurant you get seated next to the salsa bar where you get splash by salsa. The all gringo staff did their best with what they could. The quality of the food was better than taco Bell but that is as far as I would go. We did see our waiter running inside and outside for all his tables. So I would guess he didn’t have just one section to wait on in the restaurant. We really didn’t eat our food but paid and left. I would say Nuevo Laredo Cantina is a much better choice if you are in that part of Atlanta.

Not good, sever barely came to us, we had to get up and walk to the bar for chips and drink refills. I asked for a to go drink and they just gave an empty cup. 50$- for a bad snack ??

It saddens me that I even have to write this review I had come to the establishment a few times I enjoyed the tacos however today for whatever reason no one wanted to service me. A white couple came and sat down AFTER me and the server immediately went and assisted them so I proceeded to grab my belongings and head out as I was the only brown person in the establishment not receiving service such a shame we’re in 2024 and have to STILL go through the back handed racism
Funny how you set it to where I could not respond. As I stated it was a VERY racist experience being that the establishment was NOT “busy” as you claimed as the 4 tables that were seated by us had ALREADY been serviced and the table sat NEXT to us after had been seated for approximately 10 minutes before them got service and the waiter looked at us and kept on about his business??! What does that tell me a the only BROWN customer in the establishment whereas you yourself did not even acknowledge us. You saw us sitting there getting services and did NOTHING please do better as a business owner you shouldn’t have ignorant bigots working as a server if they have personal issues against brown people. I will not spend my money ANYWHERE I’m overlooked or made to feel un welcomed which is EXACTLY the treatment I receive on Saturday. Do better and be better this is NOT the 1930 now you loose a few pounds off the mid section and take a deep breath!
Holy cow! We ordered two Burritos Mojado tonight - one steak, one chicken - and they were super delicious. We had been to Taqueria El Vecino before and always liked it, but this will be our new go-to order. The roasted tomato salsa was so flavorful, as were the meats. Taqueria El Vecino has been a great community leader and working so hard during the pandemic, and we are so happy to have a new craveable favorite dish there.

This is our favorite local Mexican restaurant. We eat there 5-6 times a year. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and a decent sized bar area for those who want that. The taco salad is one of the best in Atlanta and the choice of tacos is the best I've ever seen.

Great flavor!
Food is pricey but is justified given quality and location of restaurant.
I have been her multiple times and enjoyed the selection.
Service is a hit or miss, but it shouldn't be a looming factor.

Frequent diner here. Generally great food and cocktails. Good selection of tacos and excellent, unique salsa options. Love their chorizo, smoked chicken, and red chili enchiladas in particular.
Parking: Decent-sized lot but shared with several other businesses, so parking can be somewhat competitive at peak times.
Kid-friendliness: Generally a very family friendly place. Has a changing table and free cookies for the kids.
