This cozy Japanese eatery is nestled in a quaint little shopping center just off N Decatur Rd. at the intersection of Clarimont Rd.
The parking lot is tight, but there always seem to be spots available when we patron the area.
Upon entry, we were immediately greeted by a sweet lady behind the counter, and she gave us a moment to order.
We ended up getting:
1ļøā£ Tenya Karamiso w/ Udon and Pork ChasyuāI had a last minute change to my order (udon instead of ramen) and she was attentive, efficient, and friendly!
The portion size of the dish is well worth the price (I got 2 bowls out of it), but the flavors really add value! It was hot, hearty, and deliciousā¦perfect for the cold and blustery day!
2ļøā£ 12pc Tenya Chicken w/ Tenya Sauceāthe chicken was hot and crispy and the Tenya sauce is SO goodā¦like honey mustardās slightly sweeter, zestier cousin š
3ļøā£ Tenya Fries w/ Furikateāfries were also hot and crispy and really good dipped in the Tenya sauce as well!
If youāre looking for a quiet, quick, and affordable spot for lunch while youāre in the area, I highly recommend stopping by!

My friend and I were arriving early to a book signing on this strip and decided to go ahead and park due to event parking being limited. We decided to just eat here for convenience and it was delicious. Sweet and kind owners were helpful in advising us what to choose to our likings. Will def come again if in the area!

I am familiar with the area, but live out of town. I popped into a nearby bookshop and saw Tenya. I needed a healthier lunch after a week of travels, and I didnāt want fast food sitting in my stomach as I headed to the airport. I asked the staff at the bookshop if theyād ever tried Tenya. They recommended the rice bowls, and thatās exactly what I was hoping for! Tenya had a quiet, welcoming vibe, reflective of the staff. I ordered the Gingeryaki bowl with grilled chicken (tofu also available). The portion was larger than expected (what a gift in this economy!), but it was so delish that I ate the whole thing! Iām ready to continue my adventures. š
Fantastic ramen that truly hit the spot! This is a great stop, and I appreciate the effort they put into the unique atmosphere of the space. While it feels a bit pricey, the quality of the ingredients and flavors completely justify the cost. Definitely worth the stop!

The first thing I noticed walking into the restaurant was the wonderful design of everything inside as well as the nice music and friendly staff greeting me. The waitress was patient and very kind and the prices werenāt bad either. I sat at a table preparing to get up but the nice lady at the front handed me my food and while I was eating asked if everything was good throughout the meal. Not to mention the food was amazing, Iāll definitely be coming back soon.
