A magnificent experience! Loved the rustic game Small Plates, from the Duck Liver Paté, to the Coffee Dusted Seared Venison, to Rabbit Liver Country Terrine, and the Hudson Valley Foie Gras Torchon- all creatively prepared and extremely delicious! The jams, jus, purées, and fruits embellishing the dishes were all distinctive and perfect complements to each one.Moving on to the entrées, both the Pheasant ballotine and the Rabbit Loin followed the same pattern of perfect accompaniments and the flavor they bring. Also, kudos to Brittany and the rest of the staff for a job well done. The only problem we had was that we couldn't try the other seven or eight dishes offered, but will remedy that by returning soon.At The Deer and The Dove farm-fresh is an understatement. Period....the end!

Spot on. Service, atmosphere, menu options, and food quality. Minor quibble: we are from California and we felt like there should have been some awesome California wines on the list. But we have Greek heritage in our family and we enjoyed the Cretan white instead. All good.

What a wonderful dining experience we had at the deer and the dove last night as we celebrated our anniversary! Amazing service and attention, the food quality was mind blowing. I think we found our new favorite restaurant in Atlanta !!!The owners are truly passionate about what they do and the food quality is incredible! Every plate is unique and delicious I just can’t wait to go back and try new dishes.

Wonderful spot. We did all small plates — The coffee dusted venison with carrot and beets was incredible, and the brioche they serve with the pate is just perfect. I want to go back and try the burger. D&D is better than some of the new Michelin starred spots in town.

I don’t know what happened, maybe I ordered wrong. The winter old fashioned was fine. The yeast rolls and olives were fine. I had the yeast rolls before at the B Side, so no surprises there. My entree was just not good - crispy rabbit legs, caviar, carrots. Simply under-seasoned rabbit and slightly overcooked. Desperately needed seasoning of some sort. Felt and tasted very much like eating an unseasoned, unsalted overcooked chicken breast - same flavor, same texture. Desserts were fine. My daughter’s rabbit loin entree went much better for her. Service was just average, definitely felt like she was overextended, but understand because it was crowded.

I don’t even know where to begin.Easily one of the best experiences at a restaurant I’ve ever had. First off, this restaurant is meat/game forward, so if that’s not your jam, don’t take it out on the review. The rabbit liver was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, the bone marrow with snails was decadent, and the coffee dusted venison was superb. I was having such a great meal, I booked another reservation for the next night.I came back and had the burger with foie gras and I damn near started sobbing at the table. Everyone that works here is personable and went out of their way to make me feel welcomed. Do not SLEEP on this place and try something you’ve never had before!

Great service and excellent food. The Harvest Platter was great, the burger was fantastic and the trout was tender and tasty. Also enjoyed the Duck Brulee Dunkelweizen Bock beer by Moody Tongue. All in all a great night out!

12/20/23It waa my first time going to The Deer and The Dove. The atmosphere was great. The service by Abbey was outstanding. She made suggestions regarding their food and drinks, both of which we took. Glancing around the resturant, I saw others who appeared to be having a great a time as well. Stop in, ask for Abbey; and get some food, drink and of course, have some fun.

We had the burgers here and they were cooked perfectly. The parking can be a little tricky, but the atmosphere is great.

Really great experience here trying different foods - their food is very upscale, so it'll be less on portions and more about their plating and exquisite food selections. I will say, for having spent almost $400, I didn't leave full. However, it was understood that going to an establishment like this is more about the experience which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were sat outside so I wish we were inside to truly experience their atmosphere. Would I come back? Probably not, but I WOULD recommend it to anyone! Also, great cocktails.

Came here for a double date on a Friday night and it was fantastic. Great food, and fantastic cocktails. The patio was a bit chilly (not many heaters), but we had a great time otherwise. Some of the best food I’ve had in atl. It’s a little pricey for the amount of food, so don’t come here on a budget or to fill up. But if you want to enjoy a special dinner with friends, I’d highly recommend!

We went here just for dessert after seeing reviews online and OMG it was so good. The custard we got was very rich in flavor while not being overly sweet. The sauce it rests in has a butterscotch/maple-y taste to it and tastes really good with the custard. May have to come back to try the food! The bar also had a wide array of drinks from the looks of it (never seen Dalmore at another bar before!).

The service here was really great. We only tried the desserts but they were pretty good. It seems like this place has a fun vibe to it.

So not impressed! I have given this place plenty of chances. Usually a friend picks this place and I end up giving it a try. Well, I had enough! Decatur is foodie heaven. A pocket of foodie paradise, this doesn't uphold to the standards of the rest of the Decatur square restaurants. Where they went wrong??? Let's say I ordered a halibut, it was raw, insipid and just inedible. Next I ordered a burger. How can anyone mess go a burger.... Ooo yes they can! The burger was a mushroom topped foodie kinda thing. It was soggy. It came out on a bed of au jus. It was impossible to be picked up. Trying to be super fancy on your burgers eh? It did not pay up for this poor cow. The flavor was unilateral, no depth, you could taste only the mushrooms. The only positive experience i have had here is the cheese tray, but then how can you mess up cheese?
