Food was amazing, margarita was magical, and the bartender was really helpful when I wanted to learn more about mezcal—she helped me find a mezcal flight I would enjoy and talked me through it whenever I had questions!

Enjoyed the vegetarian tacos from Mascogo. It is nice to know I can get them here for the next 6 months. I have been following them to different breweries around town for a few years.Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian appetizers. Delicious cactus taco. Taco with plant based chorizo and a taco with plant based chorizo and cactus.

It's a shame this restaurant closed. The owners were great, chefs fantastic, bartenders phenomenal & the ambiance made you feel like you stepped in Mexico but you were in Decatur. Hands down my favorite restaurant.

Went here today after the recent menu changes. Tried the barbacoa, cactus, brisket, and carnitas tacos, the latter being one of the best tacos I've ever had. The tortillas were perfection and the spicy salsa was terrific. Mezcal marg was on point as well.

Best Mexican food I've had in Atlanta. Been here twice and both times it was excellent. Their seafood dishes are where they truly shine.

This place changed my life. Have some great food while asking them to prepare a range of delicious mezcals for you to taste. Unless you dont want your life changed.

Small. Tucked out of the way. But will not disappoint. We stopped in for tapas and drinks. I don’t know which item was best because it was all standout. We normally don’t order dessert but did this time because we were intrigued by the description. And it was worth the splurge.

Tortuga y Chango has a chef coming from Oaxaca, namely the state of Mexico considered as the most authentically sticking with native traditions as the Spaniards never occupied it. The food is really Mexican from the best quality, not your traditional TexMex. The mole is amazing. For dinner, we had an octopus arm, perfectly cooked, tender served with a delicious mole. We had also a chile rellenos with merguez style filling made of shrimp instead of lamb, amazing. The chef is creative for the best. And the bar has a very large collection of tequilas, mezcals, and other alcohol from agave. The bartender is a pro. We had a delicious margaritas for dinner and I had an amazing mezcal at the end to conclude this feast. The place is casual the service is efficient. No wonder the place is cited in the new Michelin Guide for Atlanta. If the place shows persistency over the years, maintaining quality, improving the style of the service and decor, I can see this restaurant being awarded one star eventually.

Absolutely phenomenal and chill experience. Everything resonated and complemented each other in turn. My cocktail was superb, even though I typically don't drink mescal. Thank you for opening me up to the positive experience. ?

Amazing, progressive Mexican food that holds on to traditions! Delicious! We've been there 4 times now and none of the dishes were less than yummy+. So, order anything that sounds good. Suggestion: try the whole fish!
