We had our rehearsal dinner at Wahoo! Grill and it was perfect. Sydni was great to work with and the whole process was so easy. We had a 25 person party in the private dining room which suited our needs perfectly. The food is incredible, they have great fixed menu options, and open bar. Very affordable as well! Glad we live in the area so we can continue to go back for dinner.

We held a small “post wedding brunch” (about 20 people) at Wahoo the morning after our wedding. The menu we had was incredible for a brunch and it included chicken salad, steak and eggs, Charleston grits, and pimento fritters. The servers were incredibly attentive and friendly (and even greeted us early)! During brunch the chef came in to meet with everyone and discuss the dishes. The private dining room space itself was perfect: a room that allowed us to move around and chat while feeling small and intimate.

I recently hosted a Celebration of Life at Wahoo! Grill, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the initial inquiry to the final goodbye, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
While the grounds are undeniably beautiful and the food was delicious (our guests are still talking about the Shrimp & Grits and Pimento Cheese Fritters!), what truly sets Wahoo! apart is their planning staff. They operate at the intersection of high-level professional expertise and genuine human empathy.
Planning a memorial is emotionally taxing, but their team made the logistics seamless. They are incredibly tech-forward, using contemporary online tools for communication and contract management that made everything efficient. They even provided 3D walkthroughs of various room layouts so we could visualize the flow of the event before we ever stepped foot in the room.
We had complex logistical requests and several last-minute changes, all of which were accommodated without a hitch. On the day of the event, the service was impeccable—attentive, respectful, and invisible in the best way.
If you are looking for a venue that combines a beautiful setting with top-tier, empathetic project management, Wahoo! Grill is the place.

From the moment I entered the restaurant, there was a strong fishy seafood smell, which shows that the place does not have proper ventilation.
There were no paper napkins at all, and they only used cloth napkins on the tables.
The entire restaurant, even the back areas, smelled like fish.
The fried chicken was not good; some parts of it had a bad chicken smell.
The fried potatoes were very delicious and excellent.
The worst part of this restaurant was that, despite the food not being cheap,
the parking was valet parking, which I really didn’t like.

Had my daughter bridal shower there, everything was lovely. The space was beautifully decorated, staff was very accommodating if we needed anything extra, tables, chairs, they made suggestions that were helpful and made our event more functional. Food was amazing, try the pimento cheese ball, yummy! Staff was pleasant, professional, helpful but not overbearing. Highly recommend this restaurant for ur special occasion.

AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL HOSPITALITY IN A STUNNING SETTING! Yesterday we held our baby shower at Wahoo! Grill Decatur. Our garden brunch was seamless and the staff, food, drinks and atmosphere were a dream come true. We rented the tented patio space and I truly couldn’t be happier. We even got a cute little onesie from the staff for our baby boy to wear when we bring him back to enjoy a dinner here in the future🤭🤭🤭. Thank you Wahoo for making our celebration so perfect!
