We arrived at 3 o'clock. The waitress took 10 minutes to come and take drink order. Our waitress was more interested in cleaning off tables around us instead of waiting on us. Our food was cold and our waitress never asked if we wanted a refill on our drink or if our meal was OK. Very unhappy with our visit and will not return.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was super crowded. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table but browsed around the store while we waited. We were seated and quickly found great items on the menu. What a menu full of comfort food! My Mother ordered the turkey plate and I got the veggie plate. She was thrilled with the thick slices of turkey and the delicious dressing. My veggies were fantastic and the squash soufflé was delicious! The only complaint is the banana pudding was way too sweet. Was a great meal and we will be back. Thank y'all!

This restaurant advertised prime rib after 4:30 on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately they close at 4:00. They need to update their menu on their website or adjust their hours. We had to scramble to find someplace else to eat.

Cupboard Cafe is good food for market price. It's a very busy restaurant with a feel similar to Cracker Barrel, as there are jellies and nicknacks for purchase. This restaurant has a large capacity and still stays really busy during meal times, so expect a wait. They have a counter displaying their delicious desserts, so either avert your eyes... or save room for dessert. With the large portion sizes, consider sharing a meal, or taking home leftovers.

We stopped there yesterday Saturday about 3 pm. There were a few people waiting but the hostess was away seating someone else. Hence no one greeted us, but my feelings weren't hurt. We were seated and given menus. We were immediately brought a serving of biscuits and butter. So many choices! Our waitress took our drink orders but we needed more time to decide. Our party had a vegetable plate, grilled chicken, meat loaf and chicken livers. All were great. After lunch we were allowed to sit and visit for 30 minutes or more (we had met other family members there). No one was waiting for tables by that time of the afternoon. After paying our bill we all spent some time shopping in their gift shop. It's like the ones at Cracker Barrel restaurants. If you are passing thu Dillard, this is a great place to stop for a meal.
We visited Cupboard Cafe today very excited based on all the great reviews. We were disappointed from the moment we entered the restaurant. Here is a list of the disappointments: 1. Every worker looked miserable and not one of them provided a smile. 2. No one greeted us. 3. It took 8-10 minutes of waiting before our name was taken for a table. Still no greeting. 4. When our table was ready, the hostess called our name (still no greeting) and said “follow me” (still no smile) and did not make eye contact with us. 5. We asked if we could sit outside. The hostess responded with “sure” and took us to a table outdoors with pollen and debris coating the table and chairs. We had pollen all over our clothes and our arms after being seated and touching the table. 6. We sat there for 5 minutes and no server ever came to greet us. We left before even looking at the menu. It was a very unwelcoming and unprofessional environment. We went to another restaurant down the road and were warmly welcomed, immediately seated, and every worker smiled and treated us as valuable guests. Cupboard Cafe may have great food, but we couldn’t stick around for any more possible disappointment. We were happy to go somewhere else to spend our money and time.

Another fantastic meal here. Whenever in the area we always eat here. Good is always greatband southern. Large selection of vegetables on menu plus many entrees. Salad bar isn't gigantic but one of my favorites. Never disappointed.

Californian here visiting family in Franklin, NC decided to cross state lines for lunch after hiking up Pickens Nose Trail on the NC side. Food was plenty and equally delicious and our server was very kind. Worth the 5 stars then some. We'll definitely be back when visiting family.

Food is decent but not something to write home about. Corn bread was extremely dry. Prices are fair though. I don't like the shared tables that they seat different parties at with one chair in between. That felt like a school cafeteria and we could hear the other parties entire loud conversation, as they were seated at our table. Waitresses arguing over who was serving who. Hostess had no idea what was going on. Leaving 4 stars because I know there is a labor shortage and it was crowded. Our waitress was nice but you could tell she was busy. Probably will return to give it another try but will wait for a private booth to open up instead of sitting at a shared table.
