We stopped for lunch on our way home to Florida from Waynesville. We have eaten here on other trips and it has been a favorite. We ate light as we were traveling… a Reuben Dog ( hubby said delicious) and I had a burger. Everything was fresh, service excellent. We made the mistake of looking at the dessert menu …. Oh, my….and decided to take a piece of the Tuxedo cake to go. I wish I had a picture but we ate it before I thought if it. So moist and chocolatey. I wish now...

We had the Sunday buffet around noon. No wait but plenty of customers. Nice inside but more importantly the fried chicken was some of the best In have ever had. The small pieces of chicken fried steak were excellent, the hot veggies were good with a decent variety. The banana pudding was very good. The apple cobbler tasted great but could have used a little more breading on top. But all in all super good. We will be back.
