Carters Fried Chicken "Tidwells"

Everything I've ate here taste awesome. Good hamburger, fried chicken,green beans n tea. And there's a bible on every table. That's cool

Great Southern cooking, counter style! Order at the counter, they cook it fresh, and hand it over the counter hot and in to-go containers. My fried chicken livers were cooked perfectly! Chicken tenders were also outstanding; BBQ sauce is homemade and delicious. Lima beans and slaw also amazing. If you want a fancy restaurant, this isn’t for you. But if you want inexpensive home cooking, this place rocks!

This is THE fried chicken place in south Georgia! It's nice to feel like you got your money's worth, and that's always the case at Tidwell's. Renee has been taking care of me for years and she and the rest of them will do the same for you, too! You know it's good when people ask where you're from and when you tell them Douglas, GA, they mention they know about Tidwell's!

They have excellent fried chicken and vegetables.

Always a long line. but they handle it pretty well.

We just went in and ordered double fries, the man told the lady twice and this is what we get in our order

This is my first time trying this restaurant it was pretty great but it does have a few cons. My chicken was great. The fries and macaroni and cheese were horrible. My stomach was messed up after eating the macaroni and cheese and that is not good. Other than that the food was pretty good. Just need to do better when it comes to the food. Great prices and definitely good enough to eat and try

Great food , but always busy, inside is a little dated and huge parking lot is a little unorganized sometimes but the staff is great, expect to wait during peak time as it gets super busy because the food is that good.

I moved away from Douglas Ga but every time I come home it's Carter's always my first stop. They are always busy but worth the wait. The food is so good and staff is friendly

Great little old school mom n pop restaraunt serving up hot n delicious southern fried chicken and sides! Must try it! They also have a great BBQ sandwich!
