Service not so good. The fried shrimp were hot and fresh. The salad bar was good but was offered only one bowl. No hush puppies or tarter sauce with the shrimp. Then to top it off was charged for my water after paying $3.29 for soda.

I got the 12 oz sirloin steak with broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes, cooked to order and delicious. Husband got the hamburger steak (a big one) with Mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes. Sweet tea was great, service was good. One of the best steaks in a while. Highly recommend the loaded mashed potatoes.

Went on 10/15. Horrible service. Food was cold like it was held under a heat lamp which isn’t surprising bc staff was eagerly on their phones and hanging around bar area.. even watched them take shots while we were brought our grandson who we only see once a year as a treat. Ordered shrimp and grits with gravy a steak Medium rare and grandson nibbled off our plates. Steak was tough and cold. Sent back, still overcooked. The gravy for grits was also cold like it was frozen or refrigerated. Shrimp was just not what we know as shrimp. Poor service. Poor food. Maybe next time we will try the place across the street seashells or king claw again. So disappointing. I will never go back here. Staff was more concerned with the bar area and their phones than they were us . 👎👎👎👎👎 gross. I guess that s why my daughter told they changed their name 3 times.(catfish house, spiveys and now what they are) Bc they just can’t get it right.

Awesome backstory on this restaurant! We went for dinner my husband had the steak and I had the shrimp and grits. Excellent service and amazing food. You can’t go wrong here.

Beautiful place me and my coworker decided to get a chicken salad and the variety of foods for salad bar was amazing. The drinks that they give you are a great size. I will return 10 out of 10.

First time visiting them since the relocation. I enjoyed the creamy shrimp and grits and my husband enjoyed his all you can eat shrimp when we came through on a Thursday. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely will go again when we're in the area.

We ate there last night (10/20/25). I can honestly say we had the best server we have ever had there. I dont remember her name, but she was a very good server. I ordered the catfish dinner because my son said the catfish there was the best. It was ok, as far as taste goes, but it was tough, like it had been cooked earlier and had been put under a warming light. My son also got the same thing and he said that it was not nearly as good as it used to be. I really looked forward to eating there because we hadnt been there in a while. My potato was also not done and was cold. They need to step up their game because they now have computation from Longhorn. We will try sgain in a few weeks and see if it has improved.

We had made plans with our large family to celebrate my son's 29th birthday. The place we had planned to go fell through and we called Hardware House. They did absolutely EVERYTHING they could to accommodate us even though they were already super busy and had another large party. The service and food was wonderful and they saved the night. 10/10 RECOMMEND.
