Went by and the place was closed. No sign or anything. Tried to call but got message that mailbox was full. I'm assuming they're no longer open. Updating Google listing would've been helpful. We drove over 30 minutes to get here.

All of the food is excellent. Steak , seafood , and appetizers are on point.
Servers are super personable.
Atmosphere is laid back and feels like everyone is at home enjoying good company.

Decided to try a new place (new to us). We arrived just after dark on a Thursday at about 7:30. The “parking lot” had several cars but if it weren’t for that we wouldn’t have known it was open. There were no lights on at the entry way and we really had a difficult time navigating the steps. Once inside, the atmosphere is cute and welcoming. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and the service was somewhat slow but we weren’t in a hurry. We placed our order for an appetizer; we ordered the blooming onion. It was pretty good though towards the middle of the onion, the batter wasn’t cooked and was gooey. Overall it was still good. For our meal my husband ordered surf and turf with a loaded baked potato and house salad and I ordered the Cajun salmon and shrimp with a sweet potato and salad. The food arrived before we got our salad. The salmon was a filet and somewhat overcooked and my husband’s steak was ordered medium but was more like rare. Overall, we weren’t impressed and would probably not return.

On 09/14/24, my spouse and I visted this restaurant. We were hopeful it would be good based on what we saw online of the menu and some pictures of the food. We were not disappointed. The food was some of the best we have had in a LONG TIME. Our server (Kerri) was beyond great. She was fully attentive to our needs, answered our questions right away, kept our drinks full, and was like family as we ate. [Side note, Tumpie's you have an outstanding server with Kerri). The gator tail appetizer was some of the best around (not chewy, tough, overcooked, etc like some places can do). Our steaks were cooked perfectly (which is usually rare to find). The atmosphere makes you feel like you're eating the Sunday meal with family. I would HIGHLY ENCOURAGE ANYONE who is thinking about trying it out, DO IT! You won't be disappointed!

Love the food and service. The ability to make reservations makes it easier to go there on a Friday or Saturday night. Well worth the 40 minute drive.

Dine in.
Took my wife for a Birthday dinner , we arrived earlier than expected ( drive was shorter than expected) we happened to be 1st customers.
Cordially greeted & a waitress waited on us quickly,
Ordered our beverages & the fried green tomato appetizer .
Then a new waitress appeared to take our order . When questioned about the menu items , she stated she was new & didn’t know any about the food. We placed our order after 2 trips back to the kitchen to get our questions answered.
Beverages arrived as did the appetizer plate.
( Delivered by ,yet another waitress) Only utensil provided was a fork , no small plates or knives provided to divide or cut the fried tomato’s. When requested, 1 knife was delivered (Appetizer was very good by the way)
The main course was delivered by (new waitress) my wife’s meat item was extremely salty & gravy served was obviously out of a jar.
I ordered the beef shish kabobs ‘ a side of Asparagus ( meat order medium rare)
Kabob vegetables were overcooked “ the Angus “ beef
Was dry , tasteless & the toughest cow in the yard.
The green crisp Asparagus expect was not served as a “Side”, but as some dried yellow tasteless topping on my kabobs.
We were honest when asked about our experience, & our main meal items
Credited for by 50% appreciated, but not expected.
Suggestions:
Educate / train your waitresses before subjecting them to your customers ( the life of your business)
Improve the quality of items served,
If it’s delivered to the customers table & looks unappealing before First bite & the bite confirms first look . YOU LOSE!
I can alway go elsewhere.
