I typically don't have time to write reviews, I made sure I did this this outstanding establishment. I come down very often for work, needed to expand my usual outings for food. Decided to give a try since it's right down from my hotel and just wow. Everything is great, very welcoming atmosphere, greeted with politeness, food taste incredible. Food was really good. The pancakes were really good, it reminded me of my mom’s. The fruits came with your order, I did not have to pay extra like some other restaurants charge.

1st time visiting, we were in the area looking for a delicious non chain breakfast. I admit pulling up we were skeptical but me being a world traveler know I have had some of the Best Food in the jot appealing at 1st sight eateries. Walking in, we were nicely greeted by Kammi. She also took our orders and she was very attentive & patient. We found the restrooms to be clean. They have a pool table & cute comfy seating areas along with a pacman game. Very spacious, good music playing & our food was fye🔥🔥🔥 definitely 10/10. Highly recommend. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. Free Parking lot & the prices are fair!
Hello, came into ATL from Cleveland, Ohio, We was all hungry and looking for a restaurant came across this GEM, I knew from the moment I saw the outside and the smell that greeted me when we walked, that the food was going to fire. Ms. Shay did not disappoint the food was so good, fresh, hot and seasoned to perfection!! The customer service was outstanding and the owner even came out to say hello and make sure we are ok. It’s such a beautiful thing to know that real customer service and kindness still exists! We will be back. 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽

As long as I've been in the area. This was my first time eating here. I ordered sausage omelete w/grits toast. The food was exceptionally good, I must say... Wifey and I definitely will be back. 5*definitely. I will keep y'all updated on our next visit.

Very disappointed, I am a frequent patron of the D'essence. Attempted to visit today, the open sign light was on but I pulled the door to check, and the door was open @ 12:44 pm and I saw two people talking behind the counter. I went back to turn the car off. I pulled the door again it was still 12:44 pm. Someone inside came and locked the door! I looked for the hours of operation, when I saw a sign that said closing @ 1pm to change oil or something like that. Well it's 12:44 pm! I attempted to call no answer. I'm very disappointed because I eat there frequently and I have referred others. So instead of supporting my local black business, I spent my $$ @ IHOP. Do better!
After your response taking NO responsibility, I will take my $$ elsewhere. I am (we are) not in the restaurant business, if it takes 20-30 minutes to prep maybe you should post the correct time to meet your objective.

Fast, friendly service. I was instantly acknowledged and greeted with a smile when I walked in. This was my first time here so I was given time to glance at the menu and ordered the chicken and waffles with egg. While I was waiting for the food, the had a free Pac Man game that I played,one of my childhood favorites..BONUS!! Food was quickly ready and fresh, smelled amazing. Got it home ans tasted just as good as it looked. Will definitely be back!!
