I absolutely love this place went today for two main squeeze cupcakes and they are absolutely delicious but today they were not as good. They had a really funny taste and like something in them were spoiled I couldn’t even finish the first cupcake and just threw the other one away this is literally my favorite place so I’m a very disappointed to leave this type of review hopefully next time they are as good as they normally are

Updated Review – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m updating my review to five stars because what happened after my initial visit is what truly defines a business.
The owner reached out to me promptly the very next day with sincerity, respect, and care. He listened, took accountability, and offered a thoughtful solution including comping my next visit, which I gladly accepted. When I returned, the cupcakes were just as spectacular as I remembered, and the experience felt aligned with the Kupcakery I’ve loved for nearly a decade.
This is a reminder that mistakes will happen especially in human-facing businesses but character is revealed in the bounce back. Community isn’t about perfection; it’s about responsiveness, humility, and repair.
Kupcakery showed up in that way. And that matters.
Grace creates room for growth. Accountability builds trust.

Kupcakery – East Point, GA
I’ve been a loyal patron of Kupcakery since it opened in East Point easily 8 to 10 years at this point. I’ve supported this bakery through different seasons, and today I made a very intentional choice to come here instead of a big-box store because I genuinely believe in supporting local small businesses.
When I walked in, I smiled at another customer sitting on the sofa with her son, took a moment to look over the cupcakes, and waited patiently to place my order. I ordered cupcakes and a coffee, fully intending to sit, enjoy my treat, and support a place I’ve loved for years.
Unfortunately, the experience shifted the moment I interacted with the person working the register. The energy was immediately disorienting and unnecessarily rude. I tried to give grace—because we’re all human but it became uncomfortable enough that I finally asked, “Is everything okay?” The response back—“Are you okay?” was dismissive and unnecessarily sharp.
At that point, two cupcakes had already been boxed (my third and fourth choices, since my first picks weren’t available), but the moment had passed. I realized I didn’t want to spend my money in a space where I felt disrespected for simply existing and being kind. Before leaving, I asked a simple, honest question: Was it worth losing a sale over how that interaction went?
To be very clear: I am not calling for anyone to be fired. That’s not my intention. What I am saying is that professionalism and basic respect matter especially in a neighborhood bakery that thrives on community, familiarity, and repeat customers.
I left feeling disappointed, not angry. Kupcakery has always felt like a warm, neighborhood space, and today it didn’t. I hope this is an off day and not a reflection of where the culture is heading.
Small businesses are built on relationships, not just recipes. I still want to believe in this one and I hope future interactions reflect the care and warmth that made me a customer for nearly a decade.
Grace is free. So is kindness. Both go a long way.

The guy who served me has horrible customer service. He has dreadlocks and a bad attitude. It baffles me that a business will allow someone like that to work for them. Does he not understand customers are the business. If you don't enjoy interacting with the public then find another job. I understand that purchasing two cupcakes isn't big business. So, maybe that's why he doesn't care about how he treats customers with small purchases. Aside from the poor customer service he gave me stale cupcakes. I 'll keep my $7.00 and will not return.

great lil cupcake shop fer sure but menu has many more items. indoor ambiance is a main street coffee shop. they also rent out a larger area for event space. parking lot behind the building makes this an easy in and out stop as well. They do have vegan and gluten free options for cupcakes, which is a major plus and sets them apart from some local eateries.

I hosted an 80th Birthday party for my husband several weeks ago. I decided on cupcakes instead of a cake for dessert. I searched and found Kupcakerie in East Point. After doing a taste test on site, I ordered 9 dozen mini cupcakes from their large variety of flavors. They delivered to our home on time even after a frantic phone call from the owner to let me know their power had been out. It had just come back on and they were putting the order in the oven. All of this on a Sunday morning. The cupcakes were fabulous and not a one left over. My deepest thanks to Henry and his staff. I highly recommend this company!

Very good coffee but horrible service. My friend and I both have the same experience with one of the employees that is always seemingly purposefully grumpy with an attitude. Unfortunately he works a lot so it’s unbearable to go in there some days. The cupcakes are amazing.

I’ve been supporting black owned business for Black History Month and been wanting to give this place a try. The young employees were very friendly and professional but I was disappointed that they didn’t have the majority of cupcake flavors available and I was pretty much forced to choose 2 flavors that I didn’t necessarily care for but I still wanted to support and spend money there. That was a little off putting not to have fresh cupcakes ready to go at 2pm on Monday. It’s not like I walked in before closing. All in all the cupcakes were just ok but I won’t go out of my way to come back. Cool coffee house vibes though if you need somewhere to chill and study.

I have purchased cupcakes from Kupcakerie several times, in all different flavors and for all different groups of people. I ALWAYS receive raving reviews for the cupcakes from everyone. You can't go wrong with any of their flavors, and even the vegan, gluten-free cupcakes are delicious as well. I think the Strawberry Blonde (vegan and GF), Jazzy Jane and Churro are my top favorites!
