Taco Pete Reviews
The fries were delicious. However I do not like burnt hotdogs. They were hard, flavorless and disgusting. Too many onions cut in the chilli, but the heat was good. It will be a looooong time before I try this place again. Service was nice
I normally visit here 3-4 times a week and the staff is good besides an older lady that works the front. She is horrible with customer service. I called today to place an order and she kept me on hold for 45mins while she took other peoples order and walk in orders. Meanwhile I can still hear her conversations with people laughing and joking. I drove to the hapeville location to find the phone laying on the counter still and she was sitting on the stool relaxing. I find this to...read full review
The Hapeville location has terrible customer service.
IDK what they did differently, but the staff SUCKS, are very rude, and don't fully execute the orders. (I've now read TONS of reviews on other platforms with very similar complaints and issues).
I ordered 2 burritos, 1 with NO onions but everything else (no corn). The lady in front brings out my food, and I notice I only have 1 taco sauce. When I ask for another she tells me it's $.50, naturally, I'm not ok with paying...read full review

Taco Pete is a popular take-away restaurant with a smart and clean new location in the South East. The friendly staff and cute atmosphere make it a great spot to grab some food. Many customers love the tacos, especially with extra sauce on the side. The shrimp tacos have been highlighted as a favorite, and the hot sauce has received praise. The hot dogs with chili and cheese are also excellent. While some have found the food to be mediocre, with burnt hotdogs that were hard and flavorless, the turkey burger, fries, and quesadilla were described as average. The fries received positive comments, and the house wings are noted for their unique flavor, combining hints of pork skins and BBQ.
Despite mixed reviews, Taco Pete remains a convenient and decent option for a quick meal, capturing a bit of the LA vibe from the original Taco Pete's in Los Angeles. The food is always fresh and cooked to order, and there is bar-like outdoor seating available, although no restrooms for customers. One issue noted is the limited parking, which could be a concern for some visitors. Additionally, there are challenges with ordering, as the phone is not always answered for call-ins, and online orders carry an extra fee labeled as a tip that does not go to the employees. Taco Pete is a family-owned establishment in the heart of East Point, making it a unique spot to enjoy good food. They close early, so ordering through Doordash before 7pm is recommended. Happy Eating!
