I went and spent $30 on 3 meals.. the fish on all the plates was soggy and pale. The batter was mushy and not cooked. I went back and asked that they remake all the food or refund it all. She remade it all and it came out the exact same way. Pale and disgusting. I called up there to ask about it and she said I needed to order it well done and that it was my fault. I don’t feel you should have to order it well done in order for the batter for to be fully cooked and not soggy…

We come all the way from Pickens, SC to eat here. The food is always good, they keep everything nice and clean, and the people are always friendly. It is closer for us to go to the one in Anderson, but it is always dirty, the service is terrible. I give this restaurant a five star review!

I have been a fan of Captain D's since they started out with Shoney's Big Boy restaurants. There is something that I like about their whitefish and balsamic vinegar as well as their platters. I have to admit that not all chains are perfect, and there may always be that one store in any chain that does not produce the expectations that a customer expects, however the Captain D's in Toccoa has yet failed to meet my expectations from the taste of the food to the service of their employees. I also pay considerable attention to the reports posted on their window provided by those local agencies that provide inspections and their ratings. To my knowledge, every time I visit Toccoa Captain D's, I have not seen a rating less than a 96. This reflects on the management, as I believe management starts at the top and all pros and cons are a reflection of management's dealings with all aspects of the business, from hiring, training, food selection, food preparation etc. I have no idea who the owner, management, franchisee, etc, are, but I do know that the employees I have dealt with are dedicated, knowledgeable, and courteous.

Food was absolutely amazing and very fresh and the young Hispanic woman was as delightful as well, very on top of the whole restaurant I saw too. I was super impressed with her. I will be happy to revisit this place again in the future.
