We had a company hoilday gathering at the Bistro this year. Everything was amazing from the planning and working with us to get the food selection we wanted, to the food itself. As always the employees were on point. All the guests were very happy. We were in the Sandbar and had plenty of room to mingle before we sat to eat dinner. Highly recommend for gatherings.

Another successful holiday event at Lake Oconee Bistro. LOB has hosted our annual company Christmas dinner for the staff for the last few years. From reserving the room to buffet selection, the process is streamless. It’s an enjoyable event each year with great service and food.

Our party was of 8, making the reservation first off was easy and was sat promptly when we arrived. Nick greeted us and was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended several different items. Ordered the stuff tots and fish bites for an appetizer, all I can say is WOW!!! My step son who is rather picky ordered the jambalaya and he said he would order it again, hats off for that alone. My father in law said that was the best fish he ever had (pan fried grouper). My mother in law said the same of her liver and onions. Only bad thing I can say is that my Caesar salad was not the freshest. Overall great food, excellent service and inviting atmosphere. Can not stress enough about the service Nick gave us. Definitely one of the top places to eat on the lake.

We visited during the week but for the prime rib night, food was excellent but the prime rib had too much fat, I appreciate it has fat and is why it is so tasty but shouldn't be 25% + of the cut. Also and not our severs fault, but the kitchens, ordered our baked potatoes without bacon, all 3 were covered, our sever quickly dealt but not a difficult thing to get right. Overall was very good and not expensive and definitely worth a visit. Atmosphere would be better on live evening nights!

We hosted my wife's suprise birthday party at the Bistro. Angela and her team did an excellent job all the way around...set up, food service (received great complements on the food), bartender and staff responsiveness. Would definitely recommend them for any private event!!!

THEY MAKE THEIR OWN FOOD. That turbo sized chicken parmigiana was hand breaded. Its marinara sauce? Made in house. Like anything that's good in this world it takes time and effort.
Ask that about a lot of the 'cooking' around the lake. You'll find it came breaded, frozen and in a truck before they dunked it in a vat of oil, or nuked it in the microwave.

12/9/24 Had our first office Christmas Party in the Magnolia Room over the weekend. Angela, Nick, and Riley did a great job accommodating 18 folks. All 18 plates came out together and were in good order. Thanks again!!!
Dietary restrictions: They have cauliflower dough available for pizzas if you are gluten free. Tastes surprisingly close to the wheat ones. They have recently added a couple more veggie appetizers-one is a Brussel sprout with Balsamic vinaigrette and the other is a Korean Cauliflower dish-my wife likes both
Kid-friendliness: There is a 'Bistro-Guest' wifi that they can access.
Plenty of high chairs available too.

Wow! Attended our office Christmas party at LO Bistro this weekend. The food was up to its usual amazing standards and the service was outstanding. The bartender even made my favorite cocktail, the Ruby Rouge, despite it being an “off season” request. Thumbs up for a great job!!!
Great food, atmosphere and service. Went in for a lunch on a dreary day and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the environment. Patty melt, fries, tuna salad, and sweet tea were all delicious, plenty of food, drinks were kept full, lemon for the tea, not rushed to leave. Enjoy!
Parking: lots of parking all around the building (which is up on a hill... so keep an eye out for the turn!). Enjoy!

This is absolutely a wonderful venue and the food is really good. I hosted a rehearsal dinner for my son and his bride to be. Angela made sure everything was perfect. She even took care of setting up the decorations I purchased and dropped off. I didn’t have time to set it up because of the rehearsal. When I came in, everything was perfect. She made sure everything was seamless.
