Need to get some help for the food truck. Pulled in twice and wasn’t able to get food. 1st time, I don’t carry cash so they suggested the atm inside. Didn’t won’t to pay atm fees then food. 2nd time I was at the window 10min and nothing. No “hi how are”, “welcome” or “it’ll be a minute I’m finishing up these orders”. It smelt good tho so I gave it 2 stars…stood there long enough to remember I just bought cereal.

A great local hangout / bar , with some great atmosphere and great people . They have APA pool league, Texas hold em poker twice a week , darts , and Ping pong also. Live bands and Karaoke on the weekends also .

This bar has become my "home away from home". The owners and staff provide top notch service and entertainment for this rural community. This bar makes me think of the TV show "Friends" . You will even hear the bartenders periodically yell out as one of their "regulars" pop in for a drink (or two.. or more lol)..
AND.. my favorite part is.. The steady group of "regulars" are as eclectic as they come. You have both, your hometown, country folks and your boujee, country club, vacation dwellers. You never know who will walk in that door.. and everyone feels welcome..
The other main reason this bar is so popular, is that it provides a variety of entertainment nearly every day (that is not available anywhere else in this lake country community). You will hear quality, live country bands, classic rock bands , and occasionally a variety of pop, reggae, hip hop, or every other fun music genre nearly every Saturday night. They have karaoke every Friday night. And, if music is not your thing, the pool players, dart players, and poker players always have a game to test your skills. And of course, if sports is your thing... there are plenty of TV's to watch ANY sports game imaginable-- especially on the outside patio! (Gooo DAWGS! lol)

If you're a Toby Keith fan it is not outside the realm of possibility that he frequented this place. Now, this is not an attempt at misleading anyone. Idk if Toby Keith ever came to Lake Oconee or not. But I do Love This Bar. Great staff, great crowd, and a good place to shoot pool. I would call it a great place, but for the limited space and limited number of pool tables. They have 3 bar box Diamonds and if you play billiards then you know that a Diamond is hard not to love. Especially when the upkeep is to the level that these are.
So it's 4 stars until they expand. Which is allegedly coming soon. According to the regulars by the end of 2025 there will be three more Diamond tables and I will be adjusting this review. All in all, Pals Watering Hole is a fun place to hang out and catch a game, or jump into the APA or the Saturday open 8-Ball tournament. If you're in the area check it out.

Great local bar, food trucks serving food, friendly staff, pool tables, great live music. Caught a great band called, Briggs Alley there, they rocked the house with a variety of songs, not usually heard from other bands, a great mix. Gonna try to catch them next time!! Looks like they have a back, outside stage as well.
