I really wish the owner's wife was up there full time because whenever the male owner is there he's on the phone he doesn't greet his customers he looks at you as if you're bothering him he is more of a worker than a customer service person he really needs to hire someone to run the front other than him because it makes you not even want to order from them even though the food is good.

Best Chinese food in ellenwood when it’s fresh. The rice is tasty and the chicken eggroll is good.

This place has a score of an A and I see why. They are nice. They are clean and most of all my food was made fresh and on time.

They are charging over 11% on tax and I will be reporting it.
I purchased hibachi chicken with brown rice and vegetables. The rice & vegetables were very greasy. The chicken did not have a hibachi flavor, and it was hard. That was first time there and I won't go back.

Something told me not to enter but I was hungry and I regret everything about my experience. Young lady didn’t speak, food was horrible and had to wait at least 12-15 minutes to get food that felt as if it was sitting out for a whole. I only ordered a vegetable plate with and it was nasty. The broccoli was extremely nasty the onions didn’t tastes like onions and the noodles were nasty….. Just horrible. If only I had a do over. I would never go back. I hate I had to rate it a one star; two mad it couldn’t have been a zero. Yuck!!!

Overall, bad restaurant. Cashier was rude and condescending. Food was overcooked and overpriced. Food was placed on the counter and left by the cook. Cashier yells the order while sitting eating. (They just opened at 11. Order was placed at 11:10). There is not trash can in the dining area, only a sign on a counter that states the drawer is not a trash can. Dining area was pretty warm at 82 degrees, just my opinion. The only positive note is that the restaurant was very clean.

I visited around 11:09 AM, right at opening time. From the outside, the place looked closed, and when I went in, the staff didn’t seem very cheerful or energetic. As someone who’s soft-spoken and has social anxiety, it was a little hard to get their attention at first, but thankfully I didn’t have to repeat myself too much, and ordering was quick and easy.
I was torn between getting General Tso’s chicken and beef with broccoli. I prefer my General Tso’s on the spicier side, but when I asked if it was spicy, I didn’t get a clear answer. So I went with my safe choice—beef and broccoli—and I’m glad I did! The vegetables were fresh and still had a nice bite to them, not soggy, but full of flavor. The steak was decent, kind of gamey, so I’d give it a 6.8/10.
I ordered the lunch special but substituted the rice for lo mein (not sure what kind they gave me), and it ended up being the highlight of my meal! The noodles were flavorful and had a great consistency. Even with the substitution and a drink, my total came to under $15, which felt like a great deal.
Overall, the food was tasty and fresh, and I’d definitely come back again!! Next time I’ll try something new, maybe even the General Tso’s if I can get more info on the spice level!

If you’re anywhere near Ellenwood, do not miss Chyna Star at 3056 Anvil Block! Hands down, the best tasting authentic Chinese food in the area—no debate. The prices might be a bit higher than your average takeout spot, but trust me, it’s worth every penny.
If Mr. Peter is in the kitchen, you’re in for a real treat—his dishes are on another level. Everything is cooked fresh, packed with flavor, and never disappoints. From the first bite to the last, Chyna Star delivers excellence. Highly recommend!
