Soul Temptation Restaurant

I ordered through grub hub and so disappointed!! The green beans taste like they were poured straight out the can! Baked chicken and cabbage was ok.

I have quickly became a regular. When I tell you that this food makes me miss my grandmother so much! The love that is put into each dish I have tried is in every bite. This is true home cooking. Down to what we call back home hot water cornbread is everything! Their food may not be for everyone, but it’s definitely for me. I highly recommend them. Real home cooking! You can just as easily become part of this Soul Temptation family! I love trying the new dishes that they bring in rotation. You won’t know if you like it until you try it! Oh and they cater as well. Don’t forget to see what they have going on for the holidays! The love of Soul Temptation! Enjoy! Blessings!

I give this 3/10. Green beans are very soggy, hoe cake was fried very hard, you can’t even bite through it. The chicken and Mac is ok. I’m very disappointed that I spent 36$ dollars here. I will feed both of the plates to the dogs in my neighborhood.

Food was ok not worth the price they’re asking. I had the pork chop meal which came out to $21 and change. Very pricey compared to other places I’ve had and pork chop was better, not greasy at all and also a better size and offer a meal with two pork chops also at a less decent price.

The sides were also decent, not much to choose from nor very presentable, the atmosphere feels unwelcome, very deadpan straight face employees.

I do suggest RC kitchen off Gresham rd, located in the plaza where you’ll get your money worth, a pleasant and loving atmosphere, and very delicious soul food. I was in the area and wanted to try this place out but probably won’t be back.

Nanny rolling in her grave... yall Kimberly just said she like soul temptation fried chicken... better than nannies. Seriously, this food soo good it is like being baptized in the light of soul food heaven. The mash taters, Mac, greens, dressing, MEAT LOAF, fried cornbread... man talk bout rejuvenated. Thank you, soul temptation! We'll see you Sunday after kickball!

Cubed steak literally tastes like flour and is tough to chew. I can not eat this. Mac is 4/10. Photo will show it’s missing….cheese and too much pepper. Lima beans and yams were decent. No complaints but definitely can be better. I support black businesses, but we can’t give anything as a product and we just accept it because we’re black. I actually ordered neckbones and now I’m stuck with this which I cannot eat. Literally tastes like flourrr. No seasoning, no flavor this is just unacceptable.

This is a black establishment and I’m all for supporting. I do have to say that it definitely gave that mom and Pop start up the food decent but nothing I will do again.

The people were nice but im sorry, the food is horrible. Everything is so bland. I got smothered chicken, collard greens, mac & cheese with yams. All of was disgusting. The baked chicken tasted like canned cream of chicken soup and unseasoned chicken, the mac & cheese was just velveta, the yams taste like they were canned & the greens.... taste like they were just boiled in plain water. No seasoning or turkey necks in sight! I'm extremely disappointed

We were passing through and wanted some soul food stopped in. They actually served salmon croquet. They were delicious and all the vegetables on the side. They were generous friendly and kind. We will definitely go
