Unsure how to rate this one. Our experience was very lopsided.First off all of the food was FANTASTIC! However it took 57 minutes to get it. We purchased 3 types of donuts and all were AMAZING. We also had some breakfast burritos and some French toast which also were top notch! Also as mentioned in at least 1 other review “they have no clue about coffee.” I would agree with this statement as my wife ordered a caramel latte. Which came without caramel. Another relative of ours ordered a coffee drink that didn’t with any flavoring either. Which was re-ordered and came with “way to much” flavoring. All of the drinks came 25 minutes later. As for us; I want to give this a 5 star because the food was so good. I just can’t as the wait times were horrendously long and unacceptable no matter how good the food is. This establishment has a good basis to become an incredible establishment. They just have a few things to fix.PS: The ambiance was nice.

I went to this coffee and donut shop to support a smaller business instead of going to a more seasoned, larger corporate entity, like the starbucks right down the street. The service by the front of house young woman was awesome- she was polite and prompt. For 6 Donuts, a water, a coke, and 2 small lattes (and small is more like x-small), it was 30 dollars, which was more pricey than I expected, but that's ok! She made my box of donuts, took my payment, and gave the gentleman making donuts my coffee order receipt. I stood at the end of the counter for over 15 minutes, by time of which the young woman had serviced an entire line the length of the store, and the young man had only made 2 coffees. One of those 2 coffees was from a gentleman who ordered 2 spaces AFTER me, and he made his coffee by asking him, "Hey man, what did ya order?" Instead of following the receipts. The young woman noticed I had been standing there for a long time, and she pointed out to the man that he had completely ignored and foregone my order. He then offered me a coffee that he had sitting on the counter for the entirety of my time in the store, in which the ice had melted and was not my order. I responded by telling him (understandingly- when you get swamped, things happen!! No biggie) that I actually had a small hot caramel latte and an iced mocha. He then spent another 10 minutes making coffee with his general lack of urgency, and at the end, I had 2 small hot lattes: one French vanilla and one caramel. 1/2 the order was right, and after 30 minutes in the store, I didn't dare bother to ask for another.Overall, the service was not worth the cost of the product and the time there. The coffee was too strong with no real flavor accent. However, the young lady working the counter was a SUPERSTAR (white Kings Donuts shirt and a claw clip in her hair) and so sweet, and the caramel donut was pretty awesome!

Yesterday my boyfriend and I tried The King's Donuts breakfast options and boy was it delicious!!! He had the shrimp and grits and I had the peach cobbler french toast and it was outstanding. The presentation was so pretty, I didn't except the food to look so pretty and taste so great . Thank you to the person who cooked our meal yesterday morning, we will be back. Please support this black owned business. P.s. the young girl who took my order was very professional, she gave outstanding customer service which is so hard to find since covid. Keep doing what your doing The King's Donuts

Decent place. Pretty slow service. Ordered sandwich and it came out completely wrong so we had to have it remade. The apple fritters don't look like apple fritters they look like cinnamon donuts that have apples inside of them. Apple fritters are darker and bigger and a lot more wrinkly. It was a decent experienced although it's a little overpriced for what you get. Opted to go get a drink somewhere else because they were priced so ridiculously and so small. Milk in particular...

Donut was quite good, coffee was pretty good, but they have no clue about coffee /espresso. No napkins easily accessible.

Good customer service. Always a good vibe. Best donuts in the area. Check their operating hrs before you go because they're only open a few days of the week.

The donuts were amazing, the food was pretty good, and the service was lackluster. My wife and I arrived and had to wait ten minutes for someone to come from the back to ring our order. We got a couple of donuts, 2 chicken and waffles, latte, hot chocolate, and two bottles of water. The chicken and waffles took 50 minutes for 1 of 2 orders to come out. The second one was 10 minutes later. The first one did not have powder sugar, berries, or syrup with it. I had to go to the counter several times to get everything I needed including utensils. No adult came out to the front the entire time we were in the store. The counter was run by two young men, they were great guys, but didn't have the authority necessary. Our drinks were delivered after our food. My wife's latte was just a coffee. My recommendation is that they stick to donuts. Brunch is not necessary when it takes an hour to cook chicken and waffles. Please don't deviate from your core capability when you're only open three days per week. The shop was not overly busy. I have receipts in case proof is required. It doesn't help to have great food and lack customer service. Please don't blame it on corona!

A glazed experience, always friendly customer service!Update: Change your hours, stop advertising that you open at 7am if you CANNOT be open by 7am. Some of your customers travel a distance to take advantage of the opening time. This isn't the first time....

Whew these doughnuts are good!!! I've passed by The Kings Donuts on several occasions and they're always either closed or if they are open I just don't have the time to stop in. Well one day I made it a priority to stop by and finally try them out. It was a weekday afternoon just before closing. I placed a to go order for shrimp and grits and the plan was to add on a couple of doughnuts once I got there. When I walked in there was no one dining in just a couple of people waiting on to go orders like I was. The restaurant space is a nice size and appeared very clean. There were a few tables for dine in service, a couple of high back chairs for lounging, a fireplace, and a couple of TV's for viewing sports or whatever else is on. There weren't many doughnuts still available by this time, the selection was scarce this particular day. Everything they did have looked good which made choosing hard but I decided on an apple fritter and a cherry filled glazed doughnut. My order for shrimp and grits came out very shortly after. The doughnuts were absolutely delicious and fresh. The perfect solution for my neverending sweet tooth! The shrimp and grits however, left a lot to be desired. The bowl was filled with a ton of grits which were thick, lumpy, and flavorless. No salt, butter, or anything. There were about 8 medium sized tail on shrimp over the grits. The sauce itself was just ok nothing special, it was missing that wow factor I was hoping for. I definitely wouldn't order that dish again. Despite the shrimp and grits being a letdown, I'll be sure to give The Kings Donuts another shot definitely for the doughnuts. When you look through the menu, the food actually sounds really good so I'll even try a different selection from their brunch or lunch menu next time.

I would of given this business a much better rating but on Christmas Eve of all times this small business owner made a decision that made or in this case broke a potential new customer retention relationship. I came in this morning pleasant and ordered almost $50 of donuts only to ask for 1 extra box which the staff was trying to just give me oh and I tipped but then the owner decided to tell me packaging is expensive and wanted to charge me for the box after I just paid. I paid the dollar for the box but the petty mistake displayed by the owner showed me that I shouldn’t be a repeat customer. Bad business etiquette doesn’t equal customer retention but merry Christmas!

customer service sucks there are kids working in the front and an OLD lady who really doesn't know how to provide customer service they show different prices in store but please check receipt they up charge ... better customer service and ppl who know what's going on in the store would help this business a lot.. The donuts are delicious and depending on who's cooking the food is good as well.

First, customer service was terrible. I try to support new businesses (AA at that) but most times it’s hard to. I came a long way to try your donuts and didn’t feel welcomed though I was excited to give you a try. The donuts were just ok, the price was outrageous to me. Who pays $35 for a dozen donuts…. Good luck and much success to you, but I definitely will NOT be back!

We arrived around 10am and their donut choices were limited. My son enjoyed the sprinkled donut and the maple bacon was as good as those can be. I would have loved to try the cake one but they were out. The breakfast sandwich was beyond expectations and incredible for the price, real egg and plenty of bacon. Each breakfast dish is made to order. However, the process to order and pay was set up oddly and it seemed you already had to be in the know of how to do order there. Simple signage could fix that.
