Moved to area recently and am in dying need for a new Tex/Mexican spot. I came in and was very hopeful due to the atmosphere and vibes it presented. I daydreamed about getting wasted here with their margarita flight but was quickly awoken when I had a taste of their chile relleno special. A chile relleno is a stuffed bell pepper right? What I got was a small square piece of bell pepper covered in a bunch of cheese and some meat. Instant stomach ache. I really wanted to like this place so I ordered the steak tacos to try to salvage my lunch. Right away I noticed the steak was not cut against the grain so it was going to be the toughest steak tacos I’ll eat. It ended up not being too tough but could be more tender. The flavor was good but the dish came with no taco toppings, just the option of Mex rice or beans. Service was good, not too much interaction so take it with a grain of salt. I got very dirty utensils but ish happens all the time anywhere so not docking those points. I really wanted this to be my new Tex/mex spot but my search continues. Man that cheese concoction is killing my stomach I might not be able to grind through these steak tacos. Maybe a flight of margaritas can save the day.

They changed the cheese dip. Ours was yellowish with weired chunks in it.
We threw it away. A waste of $11.
Never again.

I have been going to Cabos for the last 10-12 years. In the last year or so, the quality has plummeted. When Dining In, its still pretty good, but the take out is absolutely saddening. The last 4 times I have ordered, they have consistently barely filled the quesadillas. I got unseasoned meat several times, and they have completely forgotten the cheese 3 times. Tonight I ordered the $14 Fajitas Quesadilla, and it came with almost no meat on half of it, barely any sides (i.e. Guacamole, Lettuce, Tomato). And the cheese dip we did get was watery. I am incredibly disappointed by the decline of this place, and can only hope they change management or find some other way to fix these issues.
