Very small dining room so reservations are essential. The staff was wonderful and kept drinks and bread flowing. I ordered blackened shrimp. I started to eat and noticed a long hair (def not mine) across several of the shrimp and alerted the waitress who brought out another dinner for me and comped the meal. I
wasn't going to say anything but another in my party did it on my behalf.

I will say the service is far better than the food. I also got to sample a friend's food who had steak and that was really good. When I go back, I'll try that next time.

We had an awesome dinner. The food, and hospitality were excellent. I had steak and scallops with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Really enjoyed the salad as well. My husband enjoyed his meal as well.
I rarely order steak out but decided to do surf and turf tonight. I made an excellent choice. It’s a quiet dirt gravel road in and out of Backwoods Swamp Water Bistro. Love the drive. Just outside Folkston Ga and well worth it. Make a reservation and take the drive. Open Friday and Saturday evenings.

Went for a wedding it is absolutely gorgeous

My husband's coworker highly recommended Swampfire. When we arrived we thought they were closed since there were no cars parked. We discovered we were the first guests to arrive for the evening and were greeted warmly when we entered. Everything was top notch, from the warm dinner rolls, the salad with Strawberries and raspberries, to the perfectly seasoned ribeye. And the service was outstanding! Definitely worth the drive from Fernandina Beach. Next time we'll save room for dessert!

My steak was not good at all. It tasted like it was soaked with charcoal lighter fluid. Other than that everything was great. We are not the type to complain so we it's just not our taste of food.

I was blown away by how good the steak and seafood was, it was by luck that I found it and the setting outside under the oak trees really sets the romantic mood. The seating and tables were a little small but that does add to the setting. The ribeye steak was huge and did not need anything due to it being seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was very reasonable on price, and well worth the value because of the quality of the food. I will be back again and again, it's hard to find a place that can serve a steak as good as Swampfire Backwoods Bistro. It is like a rare gem that only a few know about! I could see it being a great place to listen to live blues music, sipping on the good wine, or another beverage that they serve and letting letting all of your senses take in the atmosphere. I'm ready to go back!

This place is like a hidden gem. It is small, quaint, yet elegant. The server is so attentive and friendly. The food is amazing. We had steak and seafood entrees and a bottle of wine. It was such a nice and enjoyable experience.

Office Christmas party and more than enough food is served.

Food was great service fast and friendly

Their steaks are amazing! Their salad is amazing! The atmosphere, the management, the cleanliness, the quickness, the service, literally everything about them is amazing! You will not be disappointed.. at all!

Parking: Don't listen to Google maps, you will wind up perfectly in their parking area.

Kid-friendliness: They cater to your children the way you would only wish a restaurant would. They are kind to your kids, they treat them like they're adults too and allow them to be "big kids" and are patient.

As usual the food was great! My husband got a steak cooked just the way he ordered with fried Mahi. Delicious! I got the Bountiful Seafood Platter... fried shrimp & oysters and blackened scallops. Absolutely ? amazing.. Service was exceptional. At the time there were only 3 tables with customers. This is a small restaurant with very attentive service!

Food, service and price were excellent. Ms.Tina did an awesome job serving our party of 8. Ms. Ashley has an excellent restaurant...will definitely return. Steak and Blackened Mahi were excellent. The others in our party were also very satisfied with their meal and have plans to return ☺
