We had a great experience at Fox City Brewing in Forsyth. It’s located right in the historic downtown area on Kimball Road, inside one of the old downtown buildings, which is such a cool touch. The inside has tons of space with a relaxed, welcoming vibe, and it’s fun just taking in the character of the building.
The food was excellent all around. I had the fried shrimp dinner and the hush puppies were absolutely amazing. My friend ordered the shrimp tacos and loved them, and my boyfriend had the Philly cheesesteak, which was also really good. Definitely recommend the sweet potato fries. They were a standout. We also appreciated the wide variety of beers on tap, so there’s something for everyone, and finishing the meal with apple cobbler was the perfect ending.
Our waitress did have a small mix up with one of our orders, but it was corrected quickly and everything came out hot and fresh, so it didn’t take away from the experience at all. Overall, it’s a great place to hang out, eat well, and enjoy a laid back atmosphere. If you have time, walking around downtown Forsyth before or after is a nice bonus. We’ll definitely be back.

We need a break while traveling and this was worth the quick three minute detour. The service has been some of the best I have had lately. Skyla was on top of it and made sure we had everything we needed The shrimp was fantastic. This is a bar but the food didn't taste like typical bar food and at least until 4:30 in the afternoon this is appropriate for kids. I will be marking this place to return to. We parked in a paid lot, we didn't realize, and Skyla checked with us and provided a free pass to scan on the way out.

I got the shrimp and grits, and it was excellent. I was unable to finish it because of the large portion. Our server was not attentive initially at keeping our drinks full. I actually called the restaurant from inside to complain that we were not being checked on.
The Gumbo here is to die for! Best Gumbo we have ever had!! Great spice, wonderful flavor, full of andouille…yum, yum, yum!! I will be dreaming of it tonight!
