Grits was absolutely fantastic! The pork rind appetizer with bacon jam and pimento cheese was incredibly delicious and a perfect way to start the meal. The salmon sandwich paired with the sweet potato fries was amazing—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. For dessert, the bread pudding with ice cream was pure heaven. On top of all that, the service was wonderful and made the experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

Grits Café in Forsyth is absolutely wonderful! The restaurant itself is beautiful and welcoming, and the food is truly amazing. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The wine selection is excellent and pairs perfectly with the menu. What really made the experience stand out was the service — every staff member, from the host to our server to the bartender, was friendly, attentive, and professional. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. Highly recommend Grits Café for a great meal and an all-around fantastic dining experience!

Service was top notch, atmosphere is amazing, food was not great but not awful, had the rabbit, it came on a plate that looked like they did their best plating, but came across like a shot gun blast of blood on the plate, the rabbit wasn’t well seasoned.
The ribeye was bland, and not worth the 50 dollars I paid.
The overall experience is like it’s trying real hard to be fine dining, the service and ambiance meets that expectation, the food does not.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Grits Café in Forsyth, Georgia, and I have to say—I was immediately drawn to the cozy setup and charming décor. The atmosphere captures that perfect Southern blend of comfort and class, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
The menu offers a thoughtful mix of Southern favorites and modern twists, showcasing why this café has been a local staple for nearly 25 years. Few dishes represent the South quite like grits, and here they serve as both inspiration and centerpiece for an array of creative, flavorful offerings.
Having eaten my way across Georgia, my palate has grown familiar with the state’s culinary rhythm—so naturally, I found myself comparing flavors and textures as I dined. While I enjoyed my meal overall, the salmon entrée could have used a little more seasoning to elevate it from good to memorable. Next time, I’ll branch out and try another dish—perhaps one of their signature grits-based plates or a local favorite the regulars rave about.
Still, Grits Café delivers on charm, hospitality, and a clear passion for Southern cooking. It’s definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Middle Georgia and want a taste of authentic, down-home comfort served with a touch of elegance.

This place is an amazing find in the tiny town of Forsyth, GA. I found it maybe ten years ago when my buddies and I randomly came through on a motorcycle ride. I have since been back intentionally twice in that time. I live 640 miles away so that alone should tell you it is worth the stop. The drinks are always interesting and the food is fresh and well presented. Pricing is fair. I highly recommend it any time you are traveling along I-75. It is just two or three minutes off the highway.

Maybe we just came at the wrong time, but the service was slow and the food was mediocre.

Everything about this place was terrific! The service was fast and friendly, the setting is beautiful, and the food was outstanding. Everything we had, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, and vegetable pasta were well-prepared and presented. Add to that it's just of the freeway for an easy stop.
