I really enjoyed the atmosphere and customer service—both were top-notch and made for a great overall experience. The appetizer was also excellent and set a strong start to the meal.
We went for lunch, and I was honestly surprised and a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a single grit option on the menu, especially for a place with “grits” in the name. However, the staff went above and beyond by accommodating us and preparing a dinner item—shrimp and grits—which I appreciated.
The shrimp itself was excellent and full of flavor, but the grits fell short. They weren’t creamy like you’d expect, which took away from the dish. My biggest issue, though, was the cold tomato sauce added on top—it didn’t pair well with a dish that’s typically served hot and comforting.
Overall, I had a good experience thanks to the service and atmosphere. I’m willing to give them another try during dinner, but I do hope they improve their lunch menu—especially by including actual grits.

I've waited too long to post my review and sadly, cannot remember what we ate. I do certainly remember that we enjoyed it thoroughly. We'd been driving for about ten hours and my wife found this place doing a search on her phone. It was as casual as I hoped it would be, but still quite nice. It's a main street kind of place, with some curbside parking along the street. It seemed to me that it must a locals' favorite. If I was a local, it could be my favorite.

Unfortunately my wife ordered the Sea bass and there were 3 pin-bones, not a pleasant experience for her. On the other hand my filet was delicious.

We ordered 3 burgers for lunch at $18.00 a burger. We asked if we could substitute the French fries that come with the burger for a salad and was told we could. We also substituted the fries for sweet potato fries. When the bill came I was charged $3.00 extra for the salad and $1.00 for the sweet potato. I have eaten at many fine restaurants and when asked if you can substitute have not been charged extra. Nice atmosphere and good food nothing exceptional. This is a first paying extra to substitute at a nice restaurant. I would find another place that caters to the customer without having to pay extra. We ordered water which we surprisingly was not charged. Never again!
