I went to eat there tonight. The food & service was amazing. I had the best waitress name Kim. She was so sweet and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant

We have been eating at this place for more than 10 years, we try to go at least once a month, typically the service is great and the food is good, every now and again there is an issue but it’s relatively minor and it’s usually corrected without a lot of pomp and circumstance. However, tonight was different; we got there around 4pm and were seated immediately. Then we waited for 15 minutes for someone to even ask us what we wanted to drink, I finally asked if there was anyone taking care of our table. At that point, an argument ensued as to who would take care of our table and apparently the loser was mad. She came over to the table and basically told us it wasn’t her table that she was aware of but she was going to take our order and proceeded to basically told us we were ready to order as she was taking our drink order. 1: Our drink order was incomplete, we needed straws and had asked for lemon which we had to wait several minutes for and then ask again when she brought our appetiser. When our order came, my order was wrong, I had ordered the shrimp and grilled grouper, the grouper was fried which I would have eaten if she hadn’t reached into my plate with her bare had and removed it. It took so long to bring the correctly prepared fish back that I had finished the shrimp and the sides and needed something else to drink. When the fish arrived it wasn’t done, I let the server know and told her I wasn’t hungry for it anymore and asked her to remove it from my check. What got under my skin was the fact that our server, Kim, kept making remarks such as, “it happens,” you look upset, you need to smile,” and repeating “it happens,” several more times. Finally, as we were getting ready to leave she made another comment about how I needed to smile and those things happen. I looked at her and said “ma’am, I think you need to let it go now, it’s getting under my skin just a little bit and you really should just let it go.” Apparently she has very thin skin and needs to be coddled and allowed to continue to badger people without rebuke. I was told she went over to her buddies and started to cry about the mean man at the table. I didn’t yell or raise my voice to her, I simply let her know she had gotten under my skin and to stop. As I’m standing in line to pay, a server with a long gray pony tail literally pushed her way between me and the gentlemen in front of me and mumbled the comment “I’d like to see a customer make me cry.” I said excuse me and she walked on. The lady at the register was vey nice, she had seen what happened and apologized profuciously and even took my entire meal if of the ticket. As I’m standing there paying the woman with the long gray ponytail stood there staring at me. Because I was already upset, I refused to acknowledge her for fear I would not be able to hold my tongue. It will be a long time before I return if ever. Sad too, up until that point I really enjoyed the restaurant.

Visited the restaurant for the first time this past Saturday. The food comes out hot and in a timely manner, the staff are friendly and Miss Dot makes you feel like family. The hush puppies are the best I've ever had and the chicken tenders were outstanding! I live 2 + hours away but it is well worth a day trip.

I was visiting out of town. The size portion for the popcorn shrimp looked like a kids meal. Per my mother-in-law, the coleslaw wasn’t good. They said they wouldn’t be back.

Wonderful food and service!!! The fish was cooked perfectly and the shrimp were amazing! Loved the fresh coleslaw and the pickles were off the chain!!! 100% recommend

Good food, surprising flavor. Not everything is fried, I was thankful for that. Shocking that at those prices that the restaurant uses plastic flatware and bowls, though. Overall good experience.
