If I order cake as desert I don't want last weeks cake . If it didn't sell last week, don't sell it to me this week ! You know it really pisses me of to work hard for my my , the same as you do , just to get last weeks cake that froze . I want fresh food or not at all . Tell people you don't have fresh food at the window

Best BBQ and sauce combo I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to try the chicken. Must be good because they ran out just before we arrived.

Leg quarters were so tiny it was pitiful. I would not have served such as that to customers. Would have been best to said not available, than to serve that. Do better Bar-H. or don’t have it on menu until you can find a supplier that don’t sell bones with skin.

We had Bar H barbecue at a family reunion, & it was delicious. The brisket, which I’m not normally a fan of, was so tender, not dry at all, and perfectly seasoned. The smoked chicken was some of the best I’ve had & the leftovers of it tasted better the second day. The chicken stayed moist even when reheating it. I’m super picky about coleslaw & typically don’t eat it unless it’s homemade but after hearing everyone comment about how good it was I tried it and wasn’t disappointed. The pulled pork was good but nothing fantastic, however both types of sauce provided were delicious & turned the common pulled pork into greatness. I’ve heard good things about the ribs and plan to try them next time I’m in the area.

I’m shocked they don’t have thousands of reviews because the restaurant is a well loved local favorite. We make sure we go on Thursdays so we get their tender, delicious brisket and a fabulous dessert. Occasionally they run out of both if they’re mobbed with brisket loving customers. The desserts are made by a local lady who knows how to make you remember your Mom’s cakes and pies. But when they’re gone they’re gone until next week. It’s a family business. You seat yourself in a friendly, country decorated room and are quickly greeted by a smiling staff person with a bag of chips and cups of ice. You choose sweet or unsweetened tea, water or lemonade. No soda. They often leave the tea pitcher on the table. I love their BBQ pork plate but often get the chicken quarter leg plate. It’s fall apart tender and comes with loaf bread and 2 sides. They put traditional watery brown sauce on the side. I skip that. It’s flavorful without it. Their BBQ sauce is also what my grandpa called a “drench”. It’s watery, thin sauce like you baste with in the smoker. They have mild and hot but it’s not very hot to us. I choose their delicious fine ground Cole slaw, Brunswick stew(free refills) or beans. All delicious. The stew is also fine ground meat style instead of like vegetable soup. The staff actually circulate around pouring stew refills like other places pour water. It’s loud with laughing, happy families and groups of locals. They have take out and a drive up window which isn’t fast food but for convenience. They’re closed Sunday through Wednesday but that just gives us a few days to anticipate going there again. This is old style country food. If you aren’t accustomed to that keep an open mind and try something delicious and different but you’ll certainly enjoy the happy atmosphere. PS. You can bring your own favorite BBQ sauce if you like.
