We reserved a private room for my Grandma's 88th birthday. Jacqueleen and her staff were awesome. The restaurant is beautiful and nicely decorated. The food was great and we enjoyed ourselves. This place is definitely a gem in Garfield!

Our family outing to this restaurant was wonderful. The food was top-notch!!! The service was incredibly friendly and prompt. There was a wait because it was very crowded being that it was Mother’s Day but it was worth it! The food was fresh and seasoned perfectly! I had Dereck’s delicious oxtails on a bed of rice and also collards! The serving size was so much that I had to take my leftovers home with me. My mother had Sharrian’s Shrimp and Grits. It was so good she ate it all! My entire family enjoyed their down home experience and meals. We were more than pleased with both the food and the professional service! Everyone was very courteous and the atmosphere was unique and upscale yet friendly and comfortable. If you have not tried this place you should!

This is a review of JAQUELEEN’S SOUTHERN PORCH in Garfield, Ga. (since she’s blocked me for calling her out on horrible business practices and being a blatant lie)
After waiting almost 3 hours for service and receiving incomplete meals, my family and I asked to speak with the manager, Jackie. Jackie came out with her hands on her hips and a belligerent attitude. We had every intention of paying our tab and wanted to ask her to take the wings off (full of feathers), to discount the oxtail meal as she promised (since they had run out and given half a meal), and to take off the sides we never received. She was loud and combative, telling us she “wished we would have just left” and she and her staff had “nothing left to give”.
All we were looking for was communication. Yes we could have left, and would have had it been COMMUNICATED that the wait would be so long. Instead, we were overlooked and ignored and basically had to flag down a server for every single thing. We understood that it was a holiday and had even made plans to come back on a less busy night because we were so excited to try it and did not want this to color our perception of it. It’s a shame how rudely we were treated and spoken to.
She also flippantly told us that she does not take reservations and only did so as a favor to my family (which is a lie as she did not know me). However, when responding to my review, she lied and said she never told us that. She also lied and said she “steeply discounted” our meals when in reality, she just took off what we did not receive/eat and discounted the oxtails (which was an incomplete meal so she had no choice). This woman has piss poor management skills and even worse customer service skills. She was hostile, lied and said we were harassing her staff, and almost seemed as if she were trying to start a confrontation, which would not have ended well. Disgusting attitude. Would never patronize again.

Service was top tier for our Mother's Day outing. The servers were polite and attentive. Jacqueline, the owner took time to check on us. The food was awesome and prepared with love. This restaurant is a must try if you haven't visited.

The menu has something for almost every taste and budget and the food is made to order and perfectly seasoned. The layout makes it a perfect place to relax and sip your favorite beverage while you chat with your favorite people - it's just what I think every pretty front porch in the South should be!
