Worst Rasta Pasta I’ve ever had in my life and way too overpriced. Overall bad experience and would not be eating here again.

Feeling slightly under the weather.. stopped in to get chicken soup, its almost 7pm and no one else is in line. I said large chicken soup yall about to close soon so give me more chicken please..laughing with them. Get home, gonna taste it and get in the shower come back and finish it. Yall the soup was sooooooo good I had to call them and tell them how good it was. She said, red pea soup tomorrow and goat soup on Saturday.. Needless to say I ate it all before my shower, and now I'm in pj's going to bed.

Rude staff, they socialize with co workers while serving the food. Prices have continually gone up, portions and quality of food have gone done. Definitely recommend training staff on how to interact with customers. Sadly, I no longer patronize this business.

I understand that many of you live in the Grayson/Snellville area, so this place might be convenient. But I encourage you to explore other options. There are restaurants nearby that offer better-tasting food, larger portions, and lower prices.

Also, it's important to be aware of how businesses treat their employees. The owner, Vilma Kokaram, has a reputation for creating a hostile work environment by speaking to her staff in a demeaning and condescending manner. Supporting businesses that value and respect their workers matters. The persons working on the front line are doing there best. Many times when you do not get what you want it is because the manager will be angry at them afterwards.

I get it, some of you feel the need to call the owner to the front to get the extra food you may want, and she may do it to please you. But if it was company policy, the workers would give you the portion you desire.

I ordered the curry goat with plantains, rice and peas and veggies—and let me tell you, it took me right back to the authentic flavors I had in Jamaica 🇯🇲 a few years ago. Ionies absolutely nailed it. The dish was incredible. On top of that, the service was top-tier—genuine smiles and a warm welcome from the beautiful women who helped with our seating and served our food. I’ll definitely be back.

Review by Marvin @SoldByMarvin.com Plant-based family approved! 🙌🏾 We stopped by Ionie’s Caribbean Kitchen and stuck strictly to the vegan options — and let me tell you, they did not disappoint.

We had the vegan stew, tofu(jerk, curry, brown stew), cabbage, rice & peas, and plantains, and every bite was seasoned with that rich, authentic island flavor. The stew was hearty and comforting, the cabbage had that perfect island-style sauté, and the plantains were fried just right — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside.

It’s not easy finding Caribbean spots that truly cater to vegans, but Ionie’s understood the assignment. You can taste the love and tradition in every dish, and the hospitality was just as warm as the food.

If you’re looking for real flavor without the meat, this spot is a must in Snellville. And of course — if you need a local vegan food rec or someone to help you buy or sell a home in the area, I’m always here for you. 🏡🌱🇯🇲

Nice atmosphere. Not to fund of the food. Curry chicken Mac n cheese good . Plantain dry n nasty. Cabbage not too good and they tight with the gravy never ate where they complain they don’t mix gravy for a paying customer. When there because I live close by but my favorite spot is Ovations try them

Almost made the mistake of cheating on my favorite spot for this place, and I regret even trying.

First off, the customer service was terrible. From the moment we walked in, the staff had bad attitudes for absolutely no reason. We were the only people in the restaurant, and one worker walked right past us without so much as a “hello.” Then, the woman preparing the food acted like we were bothering her just by ordering. I even explained it was our first time there and asked to see the portion difference between a small and large, and the way she looked at me, you’d think I insulted her family.

As we tried to continue ordering, my partner told me not to worry about it, but even he got frustrated when they tried to serve him a $20+ plate of curry goat that was mostly gravy. That was the last straw. I told him I was about to walk out, and he followed me. We left without ordering anything.

Bottom line: I refuse to spend my hard-earned money somewhere I feel disrespected and unwelcome.

If you want amazing food and good service, go to Spicyhill on 124. They never miss! Trust me!

The Best Caribbean Restaurant in Gwinnett County area, hands down. Always consistent always. Ms. Ionies doesn't play with her cleaning either, down to the restrooms. The Restaurant is A-1, I would always recommend this place.
