The building is shabby, but the food is good!

Top 3 best oysters I've ever had in my life. This place will be my go-to for oysters from now on

Military vet/retired owned. Prices are fair. Issac is the one always assisting me. Always informative and straight forward when I have questions and ETAs of deliveries of seafood my family and I enjoy. Owners wife occasionally comes in and is very kind. They accept cash, cashapp (must show proof it went through), they do card too, but it's currently down. No pacific reef fish, but everything else you can find. They also cook and steam blue crab & shrimp dishes. I didn't get a chance to take photos because I came early. I believe they offer more I just didn't get a chance to take photos. I would give a 5 star, but there's no ocean pacific reef fish. Place is clean inside.

It was a little uncomfortable to eat because they gave me all the female crabs. There were 16-17 female blue crabs.(I paid $38) I will go again next time.

I went to Carolina Blue Crab & Shrimps looking for Blue Crabs for the upcoming Gumbo Season. While they weren't the largest Blue Crabs they were full of delicious Crabmeat. I was pleased to hear that they do off these Delectable Blue Crabs Throughout the Season. I will definitely be going back again soon!!!

On August 31, 2023, I made a decision to try this place even though the reviews were up and down. I normally look at the reviews before trying a new place to eat. OMG!!!! I don't know who said don't let the outside deter you from going inside. Let it deter you. I would give this place about three negative stars if I could. There aren't any seafood places to eat in Grovetown. So I pulled into the parking lot and got out. I went in and I tried not to judge the book by its cover, but the outside is similar to the inside. I walked in and the first thing I see is this big fish tank with green murky water. I asked, " what's in that tank"? I was told nothing. I said you know that looks bad considering this is a place that sells seafood. So, reluctantly, I ordered a dozen steamed shrimp. I really wanted some shrimp. So while waiting I started looking around. This place has cob webs and flies. It looked the same as it did when it was a pawn shop; dusty and dirty. I found the Health Department's Sanitation Grade. It was hidden behind the sign that said mask required at all times per management on the right as soon as you walk in. Well there was no score on the paper. I've never seen that before. I now know why they didn't display their grade. So I got my shrimp. It smelled good. I got home and I was so upset. The shrimp was overcooked. The intestinal tract was not removed which left an enormous amount of unappetizing grit in my mouth which almost made me throw up. I can't believe anyone would write a review saying that this is an okay place to eat or get seafood. #NEVER AGAIN.Well, it's September 7, 2023. On my way to an appointment in Augusta, I rode by this mess. Shockingly, the owner was outside working on his truck in his kitchen apron. SMDH

Fast service and the seafood is always super fresh. I can get fresh red snapper and they will clean and cut the head off if you ask.

This place smelled really bad. I couldn't stand the smell, so I left without buying anything

I know i wrote a lot, but I have to give praise where it's due. I see the reviews are not as good as it should be, so come see and try it for yourself instead of people opinions. I must say my experience here is great every time. When I visit this place, I order 2 to 4 dozen or even more of the large male blue crabs. It costs $40 a dozen, and the extra large male blue crabs I think it was $60 or $70 a dozen. The blue crabs are fresh and meaty and delicious. My family enjoyed them so much that we're trying to make it a ritual to come here and have crabs once or 2x a month. My family is from the DMV (D.C., Maryland,Virginia), and they grew up on fresh crabs and all seafood, so they know great seafood. They say its the freshest they've tried so far in Augusta. We're all retired military family , so when I found this gem, we started having blue crabs once or twice monthly to bring everyone together from Atlanta, Florida, N.Y. and here. Carolina Blue crab gives a military discount as well, and that's a blessing, especially when you're purchasing large quantities, so thank you for that. Next visit I'ma try the cook food, along with the fresh blue crabs. The staff was so polite. I appreciated coming into an establishment and feeling welcomed it makes you want to come back and keep supporting.

I have gone here several times for the fresh shrimp and fish. I decided to get crab legs and when I got them home they smelled really bad. Like ammonia. I don’t think it was intentional at all by the owner, but I’d suggest to maybe preserve the seafood a bit better so no one gets sick. Otherwise, i’ve enjoyed the fish selections.

The live crabs were good. Got a platter. Shrimp taste like it was in the same pot as sausages. One snow crab was good while the other didn't taste right.
