As much as I wanted to like this place, my chimichanga was very dry and hard to chew I couldn’t finish it. I ordered takeout so maybe that played a part in why my order wasn’t the best quality. I’m used to having a lot of queso on top, with lettuce, tomato and guacamole. But the shredded chicken chimichanga I got hardly has queso and was dry as a desert. I like a cheesy juicy chimichanga. The beans and rice were flavorful. I may try a redo dining in because I’ve actually heard great reviews about El Gringo.

The restaurant is closed & only to go orders are accepted. I ordered a chicken taco salad at the window at 6:39, it’s now 7:08. This isn’t good service. I’ve been standing outside and was just told 5 minutes ago they’re working on my order. It’s apparent that they need more people working. Just got my food at 7:11. I’ll never order food here again. This the 2nd time having a bad experience here. The 1st time I ordered food and they charged me $60 on my credit card got someone else’s food. It took 3 days to get my money back.I’m very dissatisfied!!!!

Great little Tex Mex restaurant in the heart of Grovetown. But they also have authentic dishes like street tacos on corn tortillas and Birria queso tacos. Just ask for the more authentic Menu. Prices are very reasonable and the people are friendly. Definitely a neighborhood hangout. Draws in a lot of people from base. They also have karaoke on Friday nights and a massive burrito challenge called The Mike G. Definitely the best Mexican restaurant in this area.

While the food is good, our table sat for an hour and a half waiting on our food. Service was terrible- never had refills at our table. They also seemed to care more about the burrito challenge going on around us at two different tables. We watched both men eating a burrito vomit. It was very unsanitary and unsettling. Quite unfortunate as we have been there several times. Very disappointed in service and environment.

So many options for Mexican food in the area, my wife and I haven't found one yet that screams come back as they're all similar and decent. El Gringo might be our new favorite. We got margaritas which were reasonable and delicious. I got the carnitas and my wife got a quesadilla plate. We really enjoyed everything. The service was fine, everyone friendly. We do Mexican about monthly so pretty sure we'll be back.
