Food was good. Service was also good. Atmosphere was a bit challenging as the kitchen was messy and the dining space was also messy. The appearance of the restaurant could be off putting if you are dining in.

I hate leaving negative reviews but this was ridiculous experience yesterday. I ordered (shrimp alfredo, Mac cheese, turkey wings with dressing and collards) through the DoorDash commerce website $33 for pick up by 5:50pm. When I got there I was told that they had cancelled my order (which I got no cancellation email or text or call about) due to they “turned off DoorDash ordering for the day and won’t be opened tomorrow Saturday”. I asked if they could substitute with food currently available and was told “we closed at 6pm and to dispute it with DoorDash”, which isn’t possible due to it wasn’t ordered connected directly to an account, and most likely will have to dispute with my mothers Bank.
We will never again go to this place and I’m very frustrated with the customer service and it’s just disappointing 🙁

The food was delicious! The chicken cooked to order. The oxtails and macaroni and cheese were great. The only exception is I don’t enjoy sugar in collard greens.

Service when we walked in was great! Kool aid Great! Unfortunately , I’t took 2hrs!!! to get food NO LIE !! This place needs help! Look very understaffed. I’m unsure why they have an 4.7 google review. The wait time is crazyyyy! I got the Oxtails , Collard greens & rice, gravy came with a flapjack. Nothing on the plate I would recommend. The greens were salty! The oxtails were unflavored. My daughter got the Catfish & shrimp , dressing & Mac&cheese. The catfish & shrimp was good & hot! Everything else wasn’t good. My sisters got the catfish & shrimp , Mac &cheese and green beans their food came out 1 hour after ours. Good and hot but again the amount of wait time was terrible! Were from Florida and googled this place. Never again. One of the locals said this was her second time visiting and said it’s always like this , she paid $85 dollars for just food no drinks and waited 2hrs and 15mins with not even a commentary drink for her wait.

My husband and I stopped there for the very first time today for lunch. We were greeted with a smile and with good southern hospitality. The portions were great. The flavor was amazing and we will definitely be back.

Great for laid-back evenings with a touch of elegance

The 45 minute ride is worth it!!! U REALLY get what u pay for!!! Great relaxing atmosphere while u wait and Seasoned to perfection 😋.... You will see my Husband and I again!!!

Maaaan listen. Today was my 1st time trying this place. The young lady assisting was very nice & professional. The only issue I have with this spot is I came on a day when chit'lins wasn't part of the menu. But the young lady told me when to come back for them. The food that I had was FIRE! I only leave food reviews when I like the food. 5 stars all day!

Food was just ok, bland. For a soul food restaurant, the cornbread dressing was highly disappointing, mushy with no seasoning. The chittlins and hogmaws, were just hogmaws, bland. The lemonade was GREAT! The collards were ok. Being a visitor from out of town, I won't go out of my way.
