second time giving this place a chance. first time, they sent the wrong food, questioned me for 20 minutes about whether or not i was sure i received the wrong food, and eventually gave me a refund, so i let it go. this time, placed a pick up order & received this egg drop soup with mold in it. color, smell & consistency are off too. won’t be a third time.
Hong Kong Star’s food is always delicious!! I highly recommend.
Great food and customer service
This is my favorite Chinese food in the area. For one, they’re one of the only ones with real egg rolls. Not spring rolls but actual egg rolls. And the food is always fresh. I used to order so much they knew what I was calling for one time i was so hurt I moved too far out of the area to continue coming but now Im back in Hampton and this is my favorite quick stop
Great food amazing people great atmosphere
Very welcoming atmosphere and polite staff. The food was freshly prepared and very good. I enjoyed the experience all together. And the business interior was very clean and neat.
Absolutely love the chicken fried rice and the egg rolls. A go-to for lunch or dinner.
Excellent service and order is exactly how I ask for it. I eat here at least 2-3x a week.
Great Chinese Cuisine
I ve ordered egg drop soup from this place twice and they keep giving me old soup. You know it's old when the soup is a dark yellow and the egg is green. Do not eat from here. The health department needs to shut this place down.
Restaurantji Recommends
We ordered take out. So I'm only able to give it 4 stars. Their staff is always fast, friendly and efficient. Our take out orders are always ready when we arrive.

I am disappointed. We just moved to this neighborhood, and I excited that we had a Chinese restaurant in walking distance. I love shrimp fried rice, but I only had 3 shrimp and a bunch of white rice with soy sauce on it. Everything is extra I ended up almost spending $20 for shrimp fried rice. I opted to travel a bit to McDonough to get Chinese food. Can’t speak for the atmosphere as I’ve never eaten inside.
