I came here with my Dad and we both really enjoyed it! This place is a small gem that packs a big punch.

You come in and order before you find your own seat. They also have a cute bar area.
The staff were welcoming and pleasant.

Our food was served in to-go containers which I was glad about because I didn’t finish all my food so I didn’t have to wait to have someone give me a to-go box.

My Dad ordered the veggie plate he had corn, greens, black eyed peas, and sweet potatoes. I had the pork chops [fried and smothered] they were so delicious with the perfect flavor, fried green tomatoes, cabbage, and cornbread dressing. There’s NOTHING like soul food that is perfectly seasoned and not salty! We will definitely be returning.

I visited this restaurant on a whim, because I was in the area, passed by, and saw that it was packed with patrons. Parking was not an issue. Although there was a line to order, it moved rather quickly. Starr, who was pleasant, took my take out order for the catfish, yams, and cabbage. It took about 15 minutes to receive the order, which was piping hot. I really wanted to enjoy the meal, because it looked rather appealing. However, I was only able to enjoy the catfish. I could only eat a couple of bites of the yams and cabbage. To me, the yams were undercooked and hard, with a slight crunch almost. The cabbage had a really strange taste that I can't put my finger on.

I may have to give them another try by ordering something different at a later time to see if this was just a bad day.

I almost cried when opening the bag. . . . . Paying $3.50 per side for the serving size being sooo small. I felt like I was basically paying for a taste test for each side. Chicken tasted like the oil was old. Sides were flavorful but I’ll never pay over $50 again for this restaurant to deliver. I may try them in person, hopefully it’s different. Would not recommend the sweet potato pie.

Right off the plane this place is 8 mins from airport. The Bartender was friendly and got out drinks out fairly quickly. We we hungry so don’t judge? we had fried okra, Mac and cheese, fried catfish, sweet potato, fried shrimp, and the turkey and rice? The only thing I would pass on is sweet potatoes watery lacked butter and flavor. Everything else was perfect. It was worth the $100 for all of that and 2 alcoholic beverages. Try them out……definitely would be back

Super good food. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Collard greens had so much flavor! Smack and cheese had a bacon flavor to them and just enough cheese. The potato salad was hands down some of the best I've had. The deviled eggs use sweet pickles (just fyi) so weren't my favorite. Check this place out. Everyone was so nice and service was fast!

Really good food, just a bit over priced the a la cart sides. Cost over $40 for chicken and fish plates with 2 sides total. Service was great, folks there are nice!

My husband and I were in the area and decided to stop by for an early dinner! I had smothered pork chops, collard greens, dressing with gravy, cranberry sauce, peach cobbler and a peach sweet tea. My husband had the fried catfish filets, dressing with gravy, cranberry sauce, yellow rice, strawberry banana pudding and a strawberry lemonade.

I’m going to start with the most important part of our meal, the food. The pork chops were great. The dressing was on the sweet side, but was good. After those items it gets bad. Catfish was a tad bit salty, collard greens were a -5, had better that came out a can. The peach cobbler was a definite miss, and my peach tea, after a couple of sips, it was undesirable. Tea was overly sweet and had a tart flavor that I couldn’t get past. My husband hadn’t eaten the yellow rice before this review. I tasted his strawberry banana pudding and even though the taste wasn’t bad it wasn’t memorable either.

Your entree doesn’t come with sides, so everything including the gravy, cranberry sauce and condiments, were an additional cost. There’s a 10% service charge added to your bill that I wasn’t aware of. Now had the food been better, I would have paid without any complaints. The food wasn’t worth the nearly $83 we spent. This definitely wasn’t a fine dining experience but had the price of one. Customer service and atmosphere were good. The restaurant had a small bar, but this is definitely your average casual dining spot. Tshirt, shorts type of place.
