J’s Sports Bar & Lounge

I stopped by J’s Sports Bar & Lounge on a Friday night on a whim, and I walked out feeling like I’d discovered a true “hole-in-the-wall” gem. The place had a down-home, relaxed energy that instantly put me at ease — nothing flashy, just a dimly-lit room, a DJ spinning old-school soul and blues, and a few regulars shooting pool in the corner. The crowd was friendly: a mix of locals chatting at the bar, folks gathered for games on the TVs, and couples sharing drinks on the small dance floor.

Drinks were reasonable, and the bartenders seemed to know what they were doing — simple, solid cocktails, cold beers, and a chill vibe all around. I don’t remember the food menu being extensive, but the drink and music combo made up for it. There was a sense of community in the air, like everyone there knew each other or at least felt comfortable enough to hang out together.

What I appreciated most was how unpretentious the place is. It doesn’t try to be trendy or upscale; it’s just a genuine, unpolished bar where you go to unwind, shoot some pool or catch a game, and maybe dance. If you’re in the mood for a laid-back night out, with good drinks and no pressure, J’s Sports Bar & Lounge hits the spot.

This spot used to be a nice place to go to On the weekends but here lately, it’s been infected by Messiness and low level people the management is terrible. They let anybody in the doors. Augusta really need to be upgraded on nice feel could mature establishment for genuine people who just wanna get out have good ole fun with out Drama

This is a nice ol' skool hole in da wall night spot. If you like to chill, listen to good music and shoot pool dis da spot 4 U. Serious pool shooters only. The bar and da bartenders on point. Very courteous servers. Da dance floor stays full.

The club is ok but once the parking lot gets full they suggest you park across the highway that can cause the death of you leaving the bar crossing 5 lanes if straight highway insane at least 5 people have been killed trying to get to there vehicles next to a cementary

This is the official "hole in the wall"!!! Southern Soul music, basement atmosphere, good people, and good drinks! Not very large but the everyone is friendly and older! Great spot if that's what you're interested in!

1st time loved it, not too crowded, drink prices reasonable, everyone grown & respectful & the DJ Awesome kept me on the dance floor ?♿ something I love to do but was not able for a long time. Thank you Jay's I had a great time.
