One side is very nice, other side is very casual. Perfect for any kind of outing. Excellent food and very nice staff. Has a bar and a stage for live music. The dining room is perfect for a fancy dinner, but the bistro is good for casual for family outings. It feels like two different restaurants in one.

Great atmosphere! The meal was delicious. I had the steak and my girlfriend had the beef tips...AMAZING! The piano player was awesome and he definitely enhanced the atmosphere. I will definitley be back.

This is a tale of two cities...the bar side is very informal...taco night was crowded and service was slow. I was impressed with the bartender, she left the bar to wait on our table. The other side is a more formal dining room...very nice, real table cloths, etc. Service was very good and the food was great. We will try both sides again, the next time we are in Hiawassee.

Cafe Portofino is a very clean restaurant. The waitress was awesomely Pleasant. I was there for that taco Tuesday special and it was very good. Unfortunately at that time I did not read the menu. I will go back again and try other things. Also they have a full bar.

We decided to go check it out again after we heard all the great feedback from a few friends in regards to how there has been improvements. We we're so happy we came back! Our food was amazing! We had a great waitress and our food came out perfect! We had the best Chicken Piccata, reminded me of when we traveled to Italy one summer. I highly recommend this place for any occasions big or small. We will definitely be back!

Amazing food and service! New chef at the restaurant bringing 5 star culinary flavors and skills from South Florida! Chicken Marsala was outstanding! The Grouper special was amazing also. Prime Rib was full of flavors, the crust was amazing on it! Great wine, great music, amazing new Chef. If you haven't been lately or was disappointed in the past I would certainly give it another chance! You won't be disappointed!! Can't wait to go back this weekend to see what Chef George has in store for everyone! 5*****
