I had pork chops. 2 nice sized with great flavor. Friends had the tbone steak (giant steak) and the trout (not bad but not spectacular), but I liked my pork chops. Waitress was great! Atmosphere is rustic. Great prices. Place was packed!

Service is always great. Servings are generous. My only disappointment is that they no longer serve Whole fresh trout. That is the only thing we go for and been doing for about 20 years. Drive about 34 miles from southern Habersham often.
Good home cooking food. Had the trout was a amazing dinner. Be shure to bring cash.

Prices slowly rising, service about the same, quality slowly sinking. I've eaten there a few times a year for more than 50 years, but that's about to end unless something changes. The last time I ordered the trout, I was served salmon. The salmon was good, but I really miss the trout. The pork chops, however, are great! The steaks are still generous and tasty, but I bring my own steak knife since the knives Deer Lodge offers may not be sharp enough for the beef. Hamburgers are still a good, but realize that your order for toppings is treated by the kitchen as suggestions.
Parking: The uphill walk from gravel parking lot may be difficult for some, but you can turn in from the street at the top of the hill and drop off passengers at the front door.

The amount of food for the price is a fantastic value. The quality of the food is wonderful. The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

While the overall food quality is good, the trout seems to have lost a bit of its previous appeal. However, the steak I ordered was fantastic.
