This was my first visit and I was a bit disappointed in the food. The menu is preset based on the day of the week. I visited on a Thursday. The smothered pork chop was bland. However, the lima beans were delicious, the corn bread was moist but not sweet, and I enjoyed the banana pudding. Portion wise, my plate was 50% rice with 1 pork chop. Overall, my meal was ok after I added some seasoning. I’d be willing to give them another try, but I’d definitely avoid anything with gravy.

Such a great soul food spot! When driving through Hinesville we will be back!!! We had fried chicken, beans and rice, collards and sweet yams!!!! Had to break it into two meals. Mouthwatering

We were long-time customers of Margie's, and I'm not sure why but lately the food hasn't been as good. The last 4 times we've gone the food has tasted bland or like leftovers, and doesn't smell appealing.I don't think we'll be going back any time soon.
