Steak 'n Shake: what gives? Is there a great potato shortage? Does the cost of the French fries come out of the employees' pockets? I ordered 2 large fries...and this is what I got (see photos). C'mon man. This is not acceptable! These photos were taken before we ate. No joke. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the guy at the drive thru was friendly.

jamessa was very very rude at the drive thru dosent seem like she wants to be there i asked for sauce she said well im charging you for it like i didn't already know and when i was ordering she asked multiple times if i was ready after i said just give me 1 moment i then pulled up and she snatched the card out of my hand and laughed this was honestly the worst experience i've had here and i dont think she deserves to stay here much longer.

changed my life. food was sublime. manager gave me a wristie while drinking my milkshake. milkshake milkshake milkshake. bathroom was grade a, like thousands of tiny little elves obeyed every command of the manager (not unlike the working staff). The great hiram bull worm watched me eat through the windows while pleasuring himself. Would give 13 stars if i could.

Food was good, service was fantastic and restaurant was clean. Only issue I had was their shake machine was operating no milk but the manager was very nice and gave us a free soft drink cup. Thanks Steak n shake. When you know you know!!

Manager need to attend classes for management or need to step down from the position because I'm sure before hire there's a handbook to follow. Horrible service and the place had only 1 car in the drive thru and nobody was inside the restaurant.

They started off with us sitting in the line for 30 mins nd then we get our drinks with no ice and had us waiting on our food for another 20 mins also when we got our food it was COLD.

We had to imput our order vis kiosk (no other option) then when we attempted to pay at the kiosk, it couldn't read our gift cards and canceled the order. Fourth attempt paid with debit card. Note: they ask for a tip when paying, yet the service is set up as pick up at the counter???? Why should I tip in this situation? It is just like going to McDonald's except McDonald's offers option of a person taking your order. Sorry, but if I have real service, then I will tip appropriately. Lol. Anyway, the food was great, although I noticed they have thinned out the selections for kiosk ordering. They also don't have condiments at table any longer. If you want seasoning for your fries, you will have to buy it at the front counter if they can figure out how to charge you for it. The manager here was very nice once I got his attention. He gave me a bowl of Chilli after he heard my story at the kiosk. Anyway, the food was good. The place was not crowded. It was dinner time. Times have changed at Steak & Shake.

Today my husband and I decided to go into Steak n Shake and dine in. We don't usually eat fast food but we decided to take our chances today. We were so pleasantly surpised. Upon entering we noticed Joey giving instructions to a couple of patrons on how to work their new kiosk ordering system. Let me mention how courteous and helpful he was to them. We then proceeded to order our food from the kiosk too. We sat near the window and I noticed how clean the dining room was and also continued to notice Joey giving 4 star customer service in a fast food restaurant which is almost unheard of these days. After sitting for about 5 minutes Joey brought our food over to us asking if we needed seasoning for our fries, condiments and extra napkins. The first thing I noticed was the presentation of the burger... it looked as if it was staged for photography. I mean the cheese was draped and the veggies were as crisp and fresh as could be served with hot fries! Also, the milkshake was picture perfect! We were in shock because of our other experiences with fast food places not being anywhere near this good. My only regret is that I didn't take a picture to add to this post...We may have just lucked up on the day when all the people who care about their work were there, but I sure hope they keep it up!

So we decided to go eat here because we wanted the fries with honey mustard. I was going to go somewhere else but wanted to support them. I ordered our food, and realized when I got to the window and paid with my card I forgot to order 'Honey mustard'. I didn't realize that there was a $0.43 charge for one. Me and my daughter searched for the change which we didn't have and I couldn't use my card for such a small amount. You would think that after spending $24 for our meal she would have just given us the condiments. I'm just a little disappointed with how much time and money you spend that they would be so hard up giving customers condiments after you help support keeping this establishment in business. I may have to start rethinking where I choose to spend my money.

Vanilla shake. I was the fourth car and was on my way in under five minutes. Employee made sure I had my straw spoon and napkins twice. Smiled and made the correct change from a 20. I'll be back again.

Used to be an every week lunch spot until Covid. Now that we are back to some normal they no longer have waitresses it's all computer sorry that don't work for me. I eat out so I can have service not do the work for you.

This restaurant uses a kiosk for order it was extremely difficult to use and finally had to get someone to help. The wife didn't get what you ordered and she got stuff she didn't order. You normally expect when you get a hamburger and fries you would get your milkshake with it also. When I asked where the milkshake was I was told it's made at another station. When we had nearly finished eating the milkshake was ready.

The dyke in the window needs to be fired because she was trying to get buck with me and my father when we asked for our coke with no ice that she was forgetting to give us... she gon ask us "are we alright" in a fighting tone and that's not how you operate a business especially if YOU were the one forgetting a PAID FOR item. Either find a new job or come into work happier cause no one asked for your bad attitude with their food. Nor did anyone force that pen in your hand when you applied for that job. Get it together. Description: has locs and tattoos on her face. That's the one I'm talking about. She works in the afternoon around 2ish.
