I heard yesterday about Jax's Shack from my vet and her tech in Cornelia. My husband and I drove to Homer to have lunch today, and what a wonderful experience we had. The mahi tacos were the best fish tacos I have ever had anywhere. My husband had never had a smash burger and wanted to try it and found that it was absolutely the best burger ever. We have brought home with us cheesecake, both lemon and banana pudding, but we are so full from lunch, we have not tried either. I have no doubt that they will far exceed our expectations. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is busy and friendly. It is obvious that the ingredients are sourced with such discretion that everything is top of the line. The combination of sauces and toppings for the mahi fish tacos was one of the best additions I have ever had. It was perfect. We look forward to many more visits to Jax's Shack.

We were gifted a dinner from The Jax Shack after the passing of my grandmother. It was nothing short of amazing! Everything down to the sweet tea was delicious and fresh! The flavors were incomparable! I 110% recommend them for every meal! And the cheesecake is extraordinary!

Stumbled upon the Jax Shack while in Homer on business and I'm SO GLAD I did. The restaurant is cute and clean. The staff were very welcoming. I really enjoyed my chicken bacon ranch wrap. Their homemade ranch is some of the best I've ever had! My only regret is not buying any cheesecake..but there is always next time!

THE BEST!! We booked them for our wedding and it was the best decision we made. Amanda made everything so easy to plan and was so helpful throughout the entire menu planning process! The food was amazing, and all of our guests had nothing but GREAT things to say. Some still haven’t stopped talking about how good the food was. Also, book the carving station, that was my favorite! If you need a caterer or just lunch, book them! You won’t regret it! :)

We had triple chocolate, oreo, caramel and plain on top:)The owners were amazing and helped tremendously with a last minute hiccup when picking up! I love The Jax Shack! Everything on the menu is amazing, but the real standout is the deluxe grilled chicken sandwich. Seriously, it’s so good that I can’t even find the right words to explain it! I make sure to grab this sandwich at least twice a week for lunch!
And don’t even get me started on their homemade cheesecakes—they're honestly the best I've ever had! You really have to try them! Plus, the customer service is top-notch; all the staff are super friendly and really know their stuff. I can’t recommend The Jax Shack enough! Love at first bite! A friend and I found this place on our way home from a hike today and it's now our new favorite place to have lunch!! Everything was perfect from the food to the staff to the environment!! I honestly can't say enough good things about The Jax Shack!! The food was so delicious, the ranch is made there in house and its the best ranch I have ever tasted! The staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!! And the cheesecake!!! I am 43 years old and I have never liked cheesecake but the owner encouraged me to try his, AMAZING!! I can't believe how good it was! Just go, you will not be disappointed!!

They add a small business touch to every single meal they make by using quality ingredients and not skipping over any details, and you can taste that in the results. You won’t find that at any fast food or chain restaurant at Banks Crossing. The cheesecakes are easily the best, and even that is an understatement. From the crust to the whipped cream, everything is made from scratch, and most toppings are as well, like their famous homemade caramel and strawberry glaze that you’ll find in the variety cheesecake cupcake boxes and on slices as well. The Bedfords pour their heart and soul into every aspect of this business and it’s evident from the smiling customers and delicious food.
