Laguna Mexican Grill

Had dinner there this past Sunday night. Food was amazing! We had fajitas, perfect sear and wonderful flavor! Our adult son had a burrito the size of his plate and completely devoured it then dove into our fajitas! Our boys are bottomless pits, so that’s absolutely no reflection on portion sizes. We also had the queso laguna … most delicious item I have ever tasted at a Mexican restaurant ever!!! The restaurant was clean and the staff was really nice. Super thorough without being intrusive or overwhelming. Prices are very reasonable. This will be our go to as long as we live here in GA.

So disappointed! I’ve eaten at various Mexican restaurants every (well almost) Thursday for the last 20 years. My family and I love Mexican food. I recently moved to Jefferson and wanted to give Laguna a try with my husband and daughter, since it looked really cool and cute from the outside. While the restaurant was clean looking inside, the food was horrible..it’s difficult to find bad cheese dip and salsa, but even those weren’t good. With Traditions and all the other neighborhoods around here, they could make a killing if the food was decent. Would give it another try if I thought major improvements have been made. But won’t go back unless I hear that the food has gotten better.

This meal started with a hair in the salsa and chips that tasted like they had week old oil on them. I got the three enchiladas with rice and beans and it was the WORST tasting enchiladas I've ever had! They were tasteless! To add insult to injury they tacked on $1.65 for using our card instead of cash. We won't be returning for sure!!

I paid $20 for a Fillet and Shrimp with cheese dip for lunch for my boss. There was no shrimp and no cheese dip. I was told to bring it back to fix it like I have time to bring back food that was supposed to be correct the first time on my lunch break. My company will no longer eat here for lunch.

It was ok the chicken soup was on the spicy side my mom cud hardly eat it

Before posting this negative review we took into consideration that everyone is short staffed due to Covid - and we were more than patient with our server.If we could give these place 0 stars, that is what we would do, because it does not deserve even 1 star.Ordered chicken soup and shrimp tostada, the soup was cold and the tostada soggy and it had 3 shrimp on it.The beer was warm even with a mug.Maybe 3 tables filled and it took way to long to get our food.We will not be surprised to see this place close down.Definitely not returning.

The ribeye is only 1/4” and way over cooked. I asked for no rice and was given rice. Sent it back and returned with retried beans. Didn’t ask for it. Only got 5 small shrimp. Husband was very disappointed with his order too. Will never go back.

Food wasn't as good as I thought took over a hour to get our food. Over priced and had no management there. Also served on nasty plates. People was very rude. Would not recommend this place. Never go back to this place again. Suggest you don't either.

I absolutely love Mexican food. I eat out at Mexican restaurants at least once a week, sometimes twice or more, and I have since I was a little kid.This is the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Weirdly expensive if you order wrong, cheese in quesadillas not melted, beans watery, rice soggy, this was bad. My order was almost double the price of the same order at other local Mexican restaurants.I've given it multiple tries and I've had enough, no more.Save your time and go to La Hacienda, El Centinela, or elsewhere.

Very clean and nice place, good food the lemon juice needs some improvement also the sauce was too hot.

Place has potential...covid hit this place hard. Food was 3 stars at best

So waited 45 minutes for my kids to have soggy cold steak nachos, my husband to have stale tacos with pork instead of steak. He also ordered shredded cheese and Verde sauce which he did not get. I ordered Fillet and SHRIMP, only got 3 pieces of shrimp and my food was cold. The ONLY thing applaudable was the waitress being so nice. Will NEVER eat there again.

Worst experience! Went to eat here 3 weeks ago with my family and my in laws. It was a Saturday night at 6 pm and hardly any customers there. Couldn't figure out why but soon realized it was because of the terrible service and food was even worse. We paid for our meals then a week later the exact same amount was taken from both of our accounts. We tried to go up there and called several times but constantly was told there was no manager available. Tonight finally got someone that spoke English and she said they had another customer tell her that same thing but wasn't my mother in law. So no telling how many cards they ran again in hopes no one would notice. Then tonight told me to come by tomorrow because they are too busy tonight because they have to have the card to return it. I never gave her the amount or dates and then at 11:00 pm tonight a return shows up in my account from Laguna for the exact same amount. Someone is stealing card numbers at this restaurant!! Beware!!

Food was excellent. Great selection. Service was slow

Service is slow and I understand we are coming out of a pandemic and everyone needs more people working, but when the place is empty and it takes 15 minutes to get sat… not very good. Food is good though just expect extremely slow service. We have gotten the same thing the past 3 times we have went over the year and it will be the last time we go.
