It took 30 minutes for a server to finally take our initial drink order. It wasn't even her assigned table. Three people at our table ordered fish and chips. It said beer batter. The fish was clearly not beer battered fish and was overcooked. I received a beer from the bar with some kind of foreign substance in the bottom of the glass. When I took it out, it looked like a piece of oyster. There was no follow up from management after the whatever it was, was found in the glass. Our server was very nice and did the best she could. She was clearly overloaded with too many tables while the other two servers appeared to have minimal tables. My wife thought it would be a good place to promote to her conference attendees, but changed her mind after this experience.
They had a special Valentine's Day dinner and were woefully unprepared. The menu was a fixed 4 course meal, and they already had run out of several choices by our 7pm reservation. My steak had to be sent back because it was way overcooked, and the meat was not very tender. A bad experience all the way around.
During a low-season dinner, we were one of 3 tables occupied. Service was friendly and (understandably) quick, and the food was excellent! The smoked fish spread was terrific as an app, and the seafood entrees (Georgia shrimp and Fish and Chips) were very good too!
we went to the Beach House to share a Christmas Eve lunch. Loved the design and decor of this restaurant. After we ordered our lunches, the food took a very very long time to arrive, and our order was not complicated. It was disappointing enough that we won't go back.
We were visiting during Thanksgiving and the family loved the Thanksgiving buffet. Food was delicious. Thank you for hosting us during the holiday!
Was a very nice Thanksgiving Buffet but I wouldn't call it a brunch as brunch entails breakfast and lunch combination of items. Service and staff were excellent. The only breakfast items were bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy and also there were some muffins and packaged pastries, so I guess that qualifies somewhat as a brunch without eggs, but all good, there were three proteins for lunch. It would have been nice to have scrambled eggs or bennies or or or or... especially seeing as there was empty pans where they should have been beside the biscuits and gravy. Other than that, all was very good and the Mac and Cheese and the Cheesy Potatoes as well as the Sautéed Squash Mix were probably one of the best sides we've had in Glynn County so that definitely made up for no eggs! We would definitely go back as everything was very good and all hostesses, servers and back of the house staff encountered were very attentive and friendly!
Nice server but was underwhelming. Looks really nice on website. Bread with fish dip was hard and should have been toasted. The fish dip was edible but nothing special. Nice to sit on screened porch but no view of ocean. Probably won't make a point to go back. Sorry.
Been here before. This place is a sleeper. Atmosphere is great. So much potential! Dinner here this evening with my wife and I splitting the 16-oz prime rib. Martini was spot on! The sides were delicious. We ordered the prime rib "medium-rare". It came to us more like well-done. Little disappointed, thinking any cook would "get it". It was still very good and we ate it up. We did let the server, Brittany, know. She, btw, was super good and deserved our tip. Would we go again? Absolutely! Again, with a little fine-tuning, I think this spot could kill it!

Our drinks were delicious and the service was good. The inside of the place is neat to see. However, our food was tough and tasteless. If our drinks weren't good, it would've been 2 stars for food.

I would skip fried green tomatoes, very bland and had weird toppings and the breading was wet and gummy inside. Crab legs were excellent and the service was better than WONDERFUL. Celeste was FABULOUS! We will be looking for her again next year.

Food was amazing - drinks were even better. Peaches and cream is a MUST HAVE. Service was meh. And we ate outside because inside had a weird funky smell.

The service and food here is AWESOME!! Lots of beers on tap including local stuff (I recommend the Cream Ale!) The food is SO GOOD. I had a parmesan chicken sandwich for lunch and it was literally the BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH of my LIFE. I also went for breakfast and got the breakfast bowl, wow, so good and amazing gravy. Reasonable prices as well!! Better than my favorite breakfast bowl in Savannah!! Best place to eat on Jekyll.
Always good service, great entree options, very kind and kid friendly!
