My sister and I enjoyed the Holiday High Tea. We were greeted by Kennedy, the most wonderful hostess. She was so sweet and kind. Our server was excellent and very attentive. She was fantastic! The food was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully displayed. The live music was a nice touch. There was a small scratch on our table, which was odd because of the attention to detail the Jekyll Club is known for. We had a nice time. Can't wait for next year's High Tea.

Great tasting food. Loved the potato soup. The servers were super kind and considerate. It was also neat to be eating in an historic location.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator to the restroom and an elevator to get up at the lobby, but the restroom is tight for a wheelchair.

Omelette station is just OK, biscuits are fresh but the scrambled eggs look awful.

We had a romantic dinner 3 years ago here. And it can't ever be repeated, because they refuse to serve dinner now. That's horrible.

There was no ADA wheelchair access to this restaurant or the hotel. The ADA access to the hotel and restuarnt is a lift that had been out of services for over a week acording to the hotel staff. Anyhow, the staff told me there was a back entrance to get in by wheelchair. One of the bellman escorted me to the back of the hotel and pushed me up steep worker dock ramps and through the kitchen and alleys - a real maze of steep ramps that I am sure violated all kinds of food safety and OSHA issues. Regardless, the resturant has been in business since 1989 and there is no "grandfathering" for the old building that is allowed by ADA law for there not to be reasonable ADA access. Having one lift for the entire hotel ADA access that is used for both luggage carts and wheelchair access is not reasonable access. The hotel can easily install other access points at other locations. Embarassing to see this fancy hotel not in compliance ADA law.

Wheelchair accessibility: Read the review - there is NOT reasonable wheelchair access to the restaurant or the hotel.

We are coming for the brunch since 25 years almost every year. So we were very pleased when we heard that the brunch is on again after they stopped it because of Covid. But what a dissapointment. The dinning room has been painted in very dark colors, the new furniture doesn't really fit the style of the room. But most dissapointing was the food. The quality was only average and the selection almost cut in half. At noon they we're already out of a few items like their famous Key Lime Pie.$65 plus a mandatory 20% service charge seems to be way overpriced for what they offer. However the service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere of the entire hotel is still amazing.

We had the buffet but it was VERY over priced for the quality of the food at $166 including mandatory tip for 2 people. Atmosphere was beautiful, pianist amazing and staff Very attentive. If I eat there again, I would go to breakfast, not the brunch. Bacon and sausage and scrambled eggs were great. Grits were not included in the buffet which was surprising. Lots if variety and quantity but short on quality. Atmosphere and history of the Inn were top notch! The price stung today when you think about that that could be dinner for 2 at a high quality food restaurant!

Lovely Sunday Brunch buffet. Pianist had a gruvy sound. Very nice atmosphere. The wait staff were helpful and friendly. The food was decent - well prepared. Seasonings were a little generic. Don't expect gourmet. Prices are outrageous for the food - it's a 1 time kind of thing. But It's definitely a cool experienceThe dining hall has fabulous history, and the architecture is all authentic to the period. There is a gift shop as well. I called and got machine, so I recommend making a reservation through the website.

The Shrimp and Grits Buffet was advertised as a special event. It was held Sunday, November 5th, 2023. The price for the buffet after a 20% tip was over $120.00. Was it worth it? I think not. The buffet consisted of breakfast items such as sausage biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs or you could request an omelet which they would make at the omelet station, potato salad, tossed salad station, oysters, shrimp salad, bacon, sausage, blackened mahi, french toast, potatoes, smoked salmon, caviar, meats and cheeses, fruits and various desserts. However, the star of the buffet, the Shrimp and Grits, was made part of the omelet bar. The delicious cheesy grits were made by a man who was an expert at grits. It is not easy to make grits this well. The shrimp topping for which Jekyll Island has won various awards for, was made to order. Though the young man at the helm did a wonderful job, it just wasn't the same as years past. In fact, the current day buffet cannot compare to what it once was. It was just sad to see the decline. I hope this is not an indication of things to come. Save your money. Without the original Shrimp and Grits that Jekyll was known for, the buffet is nothing more than a middle of the road buffet, not the Jekyll Grand Buffet it was once known for.
