Ate here for Christmas Eve dinner. Beautiful hotel. Don’t let the ambience deceive you. Food and service were not good. Party of five and spent $727 for dinner and five drinks including a $118 prepaid dinner gratuity. If I didn’t prepay the tip I would have left a lot less. Sorry guys but I pay that much money I expect decent food and excellent service. Got there early. Went to grab a drink. There was ONE bartender making drinks for the entire place. Poor guy had no bar back; there was maybe ten people, including three from my party at the bar. I waited 45 mins to get three drinks. That’s how the night started. Had a waiter for our table. Didn’t see him much. We ordered two mixed drinks and a soda. My son got his soda after we were done with the meal. At the end sat there for maybe 30 mins waiting for the drink bill. Decided to just get up and leave and then the waiter noticed us as we were walking out. There was a carving station of turkey, ham, and prime rib. Turkey and ham were over cooked. Ham was so dry I couldn’t eat it. The turkey was impossible to slice; it just fell apart into little pieces. Sad to see. I am guessing there is a staffing problem. Seems a lot of the folks working there are on maybe seasonal work visas. That’s fine I get it, hard to find people but again it is not unreasonable on my part to expect impeccable service and decent food. We wanted to add two additional people to our reservation and when we called the day before they said they were over booked. The table we sat at was massive. There was room for three additional people. Table was so big I couldn’t have conversation with my family. You don’t always get what you pay for. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.

Open breakfast was absolutely horrible, only thing edible was the fruit and eggs, gravy and sausage were repulsive.

$109 for 3 people with no drinks, (most free hotel breakfasts are way better)

To top it off, upon checking out they tack on a 20% mandatory tip on breakfast without telling you.

Staff were nice, sun room smelled like mold.

Eating breakfast here was a glorious experience, echoing grandeur of the Gilded Age through the opulent Roaring Twenties.

My family and I had breakfast reservations for four at 8:30am on a weekday. The dining room was set to perfection as we were greeted with a welcoming smile and offered to pick any table we preferred. We selected a table by the window. It was wonderful to see a dining room set with fine China again. It seems rare nowadays.

Once settled, we were promptly offered tea, coffee, or a collection of juices before embarking on the breakfast buffet and omelet station. There were no lines yet being so early on a weekday, but my oh my, what a beautiful feast! I was apprehensive that the food would be generic given the continental selection, but I was pleasantly impressed by the tastes, presentations, and twists to the menu. The French toast and overnight oats were my favorite, with a close third place by the bacon.

In addition to the delicious food, the wait staff was attentive and happy. The tables were nicely spaced to keep the dining room at a quiet noise level. And the coffee and pots of tea kept flowing. A big plus!

The only negative I can find with my dining experience is that I was mistaken that the extra fruit juices I ordered a la carte were part of the breakfast buffet. I wish I had known that only the juices on the buffet tables were included. However, when you are dining at such a fine dining establishment, you do not mind the extra price.

I encourage dining here and will be a repeat customer! Thank you to the staff of the JIC for a splendid morning!

My sister and I enjoyed the Holiday High Tea. We were greeted by Kennedy, the most wonderful hostess. She was so sweet and kind. Our server was excellent and very attentive. She was fantastic! The food was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully displayed. The live music was a nice touch. There was a small scratch on our table, which was odd because of the attention to detail the Jekyll Club is known for. We had a nice time. Can't wait for next year's High Tea.

Great tasting food. Loved the potato soup. The servers were super kind and considerate. It was also neat to be eating in an historic location.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator to the restroom and an elevator to get up at the lobby, but the restroom is tight for a wheelchair.

Omelette station is just OK, biscuits are fresh but the scrambled eggs look awful.

We had a romantic dinner 3 years ago here. And it can't ever be repeated, because they refuse to serve dinner now. That's horrible.

There was no ADA wheelchair access to this restaurant or the hotel. The ADA access to the hotel and restuarnt is a lift that had been out of services for over a week acording to the hotel staff. Anyhow, the staff told me there was a back entrance to get in by wheelchair. One of the bellman escorted me to the back of the hotel and pushed me up steep worker dock ramps and through the kitchen and alleys - a real maze of steep ramps that I am sure violated all kinds of food safety and OSHA issues. Regardless, the resturant has been in business since 1989 and there is no "grandfathering" for the old building that is allowed by ADA law for there not to be reasonable ADA access. Having one lift for the entire hotel ADA access that is used for both luggage carts and wheelchair access is not reasonable access. The hotel can easily install other access points at other locations. Embarassing to see this fancy hotel not in compliance ADA law.

Wheelchair accessibility: Read the review - there is NOT reasonable wheelchair access to the restaurant or the hotel.

We are coming for the brunch since 25 years almost every year. So we were very pleased when we heard that the brunch is on again after they stopped it because of Covid. But what a dissapointment. The dinning room has been painted in very dark colors, the new furniture doesn't really fit the style of the room. But most dissapointing was the food. The quality was only average and the selection almost cut in half. At noon they we're already out of a few items like their famous Key Lime Pie.$65 plus a mandatory 20% service charge seems to be way overpriced for what they offer. However the service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere of the entire hotel is still amazing.
