the salads should have been side salads, very little for the price. absolutely overprice (we both had mexican salad) we know ordered unsweetened tea was served twice the wrong tea. the view awesome , never will we go again
Another local favorite that has raised the prices and taken away from the menu. Nothing like it was. Used to go here weekly just for the chili queso burger, now it’s 2 bland patties with cheese poured on it for 15.99. Sadly this will be the last time we eat here, for the same money you can go eat hibachi or a nice steak house
The food here is amazing! The customer service was great as well.
We stopped for lunch yesterday and were very disappointed with our food and service. I had a taco salad and it was basically a bed of lettuce topped with maybe 6 shrimp, avocado pieces, some corn bits, and shredded cheese. No flavor whatsoever!! My parents ordered “MEXICAN” tacos and they were served on a cold, stale tortilla that ripped in half when they picked their taco up. My husbands ribeye was bland and needed so much more salt to have any flavor. The server was nice but she took forever to return with drinks. Took her about 30-40 minutes to get my mom more coke and we were almost on our way out when she returned. Maybe it was because her $30 tip was already included on the bill ??♀️

Live music, great atmosphere on the beach, drinks tasty and so was the food. My kids are picky eaters but they loved the food.

The food was a little pricey, but the island is a state park... so there's that to consider. That aside, the outdoor seating was very laid back and relaxing. The food was tasty, and the margaritas were the perfect drink to top it all off with.

Wish I had a better review to give. Came to the island first time ever. Went to this Place because it says it is almost 5 starts with 5k Reviews. Salsa was terrible watery and flavorless. Chips were borderline stale. Guac is flavorless only good thing about it is I love avocados so I ate it. Waitress checked on us once at the end when we were finished an the place wasn’t busy at all. Got the big boy burrito an queso was bland a tortilla was thin an wasn’t a 12 in tortilla. I will say the Mexican street corn was amazing. Pepsi had a weird gassy after taste like the CO2 was messed up. 40$ meal for one person was not worth it.

We used Tortuga Jacks on Jekyll to cater a rehearsal dinner at Great Dunes Pavilion last week. Their prices were very fair and the food was great! Events and Catering Manager Cody Wetherington is awesome work with, and was one of two servers at our rehearsal dinner to ensure that everything ran smoothly and all guests were happy. Can’t recommend Tortuga Jacks working with Cody enough, and we look forward to returning for dinner when back on the island.

I had high expectations for this establishment. I ordered rancheras with rice and black beans, while my husband opted for Carne Asada with rice. Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor and seasoning. When I dine at a Mexican restaurant, I expect a certain level of spiciness and robust flavors.

Ordered to go, shrimp meal, and chicken chimi. I truly hate giving bad reviews, but the chicken chimi was so bland and very little chicken, mostly black beans and rice. The shrimp was so spicy that I literally broke out in a sweat. Needless to say, my wife and I had to toss our food in the garbage. A waste of money and stomach upset to boot.
