Chef Dinesh Cafe - Indian Cuisine & Banquet Event Hall

Yesterday, Chef Dinesh hosted a party at his place and arranged a fantastic spread. The starters were outstanding, the main course was delicious, and every guest genuinely enjoyed the food and left with a great overall impression.

Unfortunately, my experience took a very negative turn on the way out. As a happy guest, I tipped the manager, Panna, $100 and specifically asked him to share it with his two helpers. Right after I handed him the cash and pointed out the team members, he hastily put the money in his pocket and acted to his co-workers as if he hadn’t received it from me. This made me uncomfortable and suspicious.

Later, I learned that he was asking other guests for tips again, implying he hadn’t received anything. When she mentioned the cash tip I had already given him, he quickly changed the topic. That behavior left a terrible impression and overshadowed an otherwise excellent evening.

I’m sharing this respectfully because Chef Dinesh's food and hospitality were genuinely top-notch, and I want future guests to have a great experience from start to finish. This should be taken seriously because trust, transparency, and overall experience matter as much as the quality of the food. We also felt at times that the manager tried to override Chef Dinesh’s communication and discourage direct interaction with him.

We had a wonderful experience hosting our Diwali party at this restaurant! The ambience, food, and service were all top-notch. A special thank you to Deepak and Sanjeev for their exceptional coordination and attention to detail — they made everything smooth and stress-free. Our guests had a great time, and we truly appreciate the team’s effort in making the evening memorable.

Food was very good and fresh

I am very upset and felt excluded that there was not a simple single vegan item for me yesterday when I went, as everything 'vegetarian' or seemingly vegan had ghee in it making it not vegan. As several establishments and restaurants are being considerate and inclusive of having vegan, vegetarian, non-veg, nut free or gluten free for all, hope this place has some vegan items and other types for all towards inclusion.. I am glad the server with a beard was honest and apologized, bt hope in future this place is considerate and has something for all. Vegan items with no ghee, no milk, no cheese, no butter, no curd, no eggs and no other animal byproducts need to be considered for future to serve everybody and makesure nobody left feeling hungry and to prevent anybody from getting sick and leading to lawsuits.

Worst customer service ever !!! They would not split out bill for us and made us wait for more than 40 minutes for it and was very rude - he spilt the bill for for 2 people but wouldn’t do it for the rest of us -5 of us - giving us a stupid excuse saying he can’t do it - he probably wanted to charge us the 20% service charge and if he gave us individually bills he couldn’t do that . He also double charged us for an item and was trying to pull a fast one on us by saying that item only showed on the bill but wasn’t charged and I had to add up everything in front of the person and show him that he did infact overcharge us and then he took another 15 mins to return the money and then acted as if he was doing me a favor .
I wouldn’t suggest this place even to my worst enemy !!

Chef Dinesh has FAILED the Health Inspection, receiving a 59 (U - Unsatisfactory) score.

Despite that, the staff of this restaurant has a major attitude issue towards its customers.

Prior to knowing they failed the food inspection, we were about to book their banquet hall. We agreed on a price, and I don’t know where Dinesh got his disrespectful attitude from, but he proceeded to ghost us, ignore our calls, and texts to decide a date to give the deposit.

Dinesh and our family decided on a date and time to meet and when we came, he was not even there. Then, his staff member Deepak, proceeded to argue with us in the most condescending manner about coming in, despite us showing him the multiple texts and calls that were made. Regardless, he was extremely demeaning, rude, and inhospitable.

We still wanted the banquet hall, and sent another text to Dinesh. He has not responded to us since.

Extremely disappointing behavior. After doing a search, we were horrified to learn that the restaurant had failed the health inspection. Lot of attitude for someone that has zero business. The red flags are so obvious now. We went at peak lunch times to meet over the span of 2 weeks, and not a single person was there except for the staff manager.

Don’t give your business to them.
