I found out about Ethiopiques a few months ago and finally got a chance to order for the first time the other day. Let me tell you that I have been daydreaming about it ever since! The large veggie platter was HEAVEN! The injera was perfection! The lentil sambusas were crispy and the dipping sauce paired very well. I will be back again tomorrow. I’ve had Ethiopian food before, but this place is special! 10/10

Wow, what a hidden treasure. The owners make you feel like you are being served in their own dining room.
The variety of flavorful dishes and spices were spectacular.
Ethan took great pride in serving us.
This feels like a Royal experience in dining.

I really wanted to like Ethiopiques. It's the only Ethiopian restaurant in the area, and I hoped it would be my go-to after moving away from Embilta and Desta (in-town Ethiopian restaurants).
The food is good, but the service and communication are poor. We ordered the Ethiopiques Special for takeout and waited at the bar for over an hour. No one asked if we wanted to order any drinks or offered water. I asked about the order status after half an hour, was told it was almost done being prepared, checked again after another 15 minutes, was told it would be ready in 3 minutes, inquired 10 minutes after that, received a vague answer, and eventually received the order 5 minutes after that. They thanked us for waiting the 75 minutes and explained that one of the items was initially not prepared correctly and had to be remade. With a minimal apology and no kind gesture offered for the inconvenience, I will make the trek in town for Ethiopian next time as I realized that it would have taken just as long to pick up from BOTH restaurants in town. There was only one large table at the time, and they had already received their food by the time I ordered so I am very confused about why it took so long, even with the remake.
Pros: Ethiopian food is good (especially the Derek ribs and beet/potato)
Cons: long wait times, service, communication, portions, styrofoam containers, suggested tip starts at 20% (up to 35%!)

We do a lot of takeout because of our circumstances, and this has become our go-to spot whenever we’re not sure what to eat. The food is always consistent, delicious, and never once has it disappointed us. What we love most is their honesty—you can tell they truly care about what they serve. The meals feel wholesome and home-cooked, without any of the unpleasant surprises you sometimes find at other restaurants.
Every time we pick up our order, we notice a strong community of people enjoying the food, which says a lot about its authenticity and quality. I highly recommend this place to anyone new to Ethiopian cuisine as well as longtime lovers of it—you won’t be disappointed.

Ethiopiques Cafe and Restaurant is truly a gem!
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the very personable and attentive staff -
Our servers, Reese and Ethan, gave us the best customer service—attentive, friendly, and thoughtful throughout our visit.
There were five of us, and we ordered Lentil Sambussa, Mango juices, Ful, large vegetable platter and a small platter. The portions were huge, fresh, and absolutely delicious—more than enough for everyone. The flavors were incredible, and we enjoyed every bite while listening to soothing live music - def a relaxing atmosphere.
Must try the mango juice and signature spice powders and sauces—they really do elevate the flavors! Liza, the owner is soo sweet! She is so personable & warm. She also shared that every Sunday from 1–3 pm they host a complimentary Ethiopian tea ceremony, which sounds like such a beautiful tradition. Def coming for that experience.
This place has it all—yummy food, exceptional service, and genuine hospitality. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend to anyone who loves flavorful food in a warm and inviting setting.
Highly recommend- You won’t regret it :)

Terrible experience will not return. First of all the star was incredibly rude and not helpful whatsoever. They we also rushing me while I was trying to understand the cuisine being my first time there. Got the food after waiting for 40 minutes only to take a bit to find out it was cold. The food was remade and sent out after another 30 kinutes of waiting. It was not good at all no flavor on anything and after all the wait not worth it. Nothing was offered to me as far as an apology, discount, dessert, nothing….
Now having a bout with food poisoning after eating the tasteless reheated food. NEVER coming back, beware of this place!

Traveled from Buford to try this!
Yummy Ethiopian food! Chicken Sambusa and the sauce were chefs kiss! Lamb tibs were great as well. Wasn’t really a fan of the salmon tibs, they were a little overcooked. Beet salad was a little on the watery side for my liking.
