If you want excellent food and a really good family diner experience eat here. It isnt quiet, it's energetic and alive. There is usually a short wait. The counter is always welcoming if dining alone.

Our server, Nikki, is the best! I ordered the steak bomb burrito and he ordered the Philly cheese steak. Great flavor and portions.

Good down home meals - with a range of food choices. I have never heard a local person give anything but praise about Steffens.

Waitress looked bored and bothered and put out or disintetested. Having been a waitperson in my past life whattever your issue, leave it at the front door. Husband ordered eggs over medium, they were barely over easy, whites still runny. Had to wait for coffee refill, waitress disappeared. Husbands pancakes were rubbery off texture. I will say my order was perfect. I had the Steffens Benedict however replaced the muffins with biscuits. The gravy and ham were excellent. At end of meal, had to hunt down our bill. Not sure if this was off day. We have been to Steffens many times before and our experience was very different. Hopefully this is a one off however husband will not return. Not the reviews I wanted to leave. This was on Tuesday 10-14 approx at 930 am.

Our “Go To” place when we are in the area. We had a large group of 15 today and we thoroughly enjoyed all of our food and the amazing food and the great service. We had Brittany as our server and she was amazing. Definitely worth the stop.

Haven’t been up there in a little bit, but last time I went out and all the friends I have that eat their lately have said the same thing the food was great. It’s homestyle food and it’s very good food. The service is great. The waitress was funny and timely. Leaving a good tip is easy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant locally it’s known as being the old 1950s diner that has been remodeled but maintained and it’s 1950s look and a lot of the features of the restaurant still exist. It’s a great place.

I used to come here all the time. I haven't been here in over a year because the last 3 times I went, the waitresses had horrible attitudes and didn't even greet me. It took 15 minutes for someone to even ask what I wanted to drink when they weren't even that busy.

A hidden gem! We live on Saint Simons Island and decided to drive to Kingsland just to eat here for a change.
The fried green tomatoes are amazing! I had the Bourbon Steak tips. So tender- great flavor. My husband had the Vegetable Plate and he ate all!
We left after eating. Went shopping and then came back to try your Banana Pudding before heading home. Delicious ! What a wonderful day!

No greeters at the door, (although I counted no less than eleven different employess on a Saturday morning) and no sign to seat yourself; so I stood at the door for ten minutes waiting to be acknowledged. There is very little room inside the restaurant. Patrons must, quite literally, sidle along to reach a table or booth. The menu is very large indicating the specialty items may be in question; however the food is good and arrived quite fresh. I ordered New York strip with two eggs over easy, cheese grits, toast, and link sausage. I had a large orange juice to drink upon arrival and lemonade with my main entrees. My server, Brittany, was very friendly and attentive so I tipped her above the indicated amounts. Friendly service will get you everything! All in all, this was a better visit than the last six times I have eaten here; it is always crowded and the food is a local favorite. No complaints on the food but please pay attention to the customers as they enter! I felt ignored until a server asked me was I there for a to-go order.
