If I could give this zero stars I would. We sat down to a dirty table, with cracked seats. 1st waitress came and took our drink orders. We waited for about 15min (didnt keep time) but she walked by us 10 times. Still no drinks. 2nd waitress comes ask "if we ready?" We asked if we could get our drinks she stated "oh yeah I forgot. " we order 2 specials. Bbq plates and a kids gr. cheese and mac. Waited for our drinks even more brought our apps out (cheese sticks), but wait still no drinks. She finally brings out our drinks my husband ordered a pepsi, got a diet pepsi (which tasted like the nozzles on the machine were dirty, and flat) we finally got our food, the center of my sons mac n cheese was cold, our bbq was cold. Never got our check the waitress yells across the resturant to meet her up at registrar. Would give us a check so we can check our prices. We were charged $3.00 for a nasty drink and my sons lemonade that shouldve been included in his kids meal like the menu said.. charged additional for our 2 sides that shouldve been included in the special. So disappointed in our experience.

Don't do it. Service horrible. Told 3 waitress drink orders. Food came out before the drinks. Then the drinks were diet not regular. Despite the "farm fresh" signs nothing seemed to come from a farm, but really just a can. All the food was at room temp at best if not cold. Floors were visibly dirty when walking in. Bathrooms are down a dark hallway with no locks on the mens bathroom door. Did not get a check until after paying. That is when we found out that the sides were a $1 extra even tho the sign up front said they were included. Will never go back.

So I just recently moved to Lafayette, I tried, 1st time was good, not the best, but hard to get the best home cooking, that's not at home. 2nd time, I ordered country fried steak, just like it said on menu, once home I realized they gave me chicken tenders, my fault for not checking there. So I called, just to let them know the mistake, I'm smooth going, try not to complain to much. Once I told the lady the mix up, she replied they don't have country fried steak, so they just gave me chicken tenders?. Ok.....

OHHHHH MY GOSH!! I literally live right up the street from Rays and I’ve only eaten there one time before today… BUT tonight we ordered Rays and it was delicious!!! I cleaned my entire plate and my poor #gatorblu2helton didn’t even get one bite! ?? we will definitely be eating there again! Very convenient. Very fast. Very friendly. Very DELICIOUS! Puts Cracker Barrel to shame! Not sure how to put a photo on here but my plate was nicely packed as well!
I would recommend not serving daily specials out of a can. They're daily specials for a reason, if you can't home make em, don't serve them. Also when somebody complains, don't delete their comment and not respond to them. I had the chicken n dumplings yesterday, it was Def can chicken and hardly no dumplings, I literally had to vomit after eating it. If your going to last in a small town, this isn't the way! also, supposed to come with 2 sides, instead I ask for 1 large salad & they upcharged me $2! what a joke!!

I never leave reviews but this place bugged me.You get good customer service only if you know them and the servers if you don’t know them they just usually ignore you or say what are you here for? The food is not good at all. My family has been in a restaurant business for over 40 years and they would never serve food like they do here. You pay way too much for jailhouse slop at this place.

Ordered a cheese burger all the way with fried egg. Fries were tough… 16.00 for burger n fries. ??♀️. The burger was over cooked and burnt Could not eat it.Normally I don’t leave bad reviews bc everyone deserves a chance. This is the third time! 1st-mushy fried fish, 2nd- burnt and over cooked chicken livers. Come on Ray, come n see about your restaurant…

So, we were in town for one night and wanted vegetables and everything else was fast food. It was 730ish when we went, and there were only 2 other tables in there. No workers were in sight, so we seated ourselves. This apparently annoyed our waitress. She didn't know much about the menu items when we asked questions. I got the grilled pork chop, and it was outstanding! So I know the chef can cook...BUT the vegetable sides were inedible!! No matter how much salt you added, there was no flavor. I'm assuming it all came from a can. Mac& cheese wasn't even warm. Hubs hamburger steak was tough as nails, and for sure the brown gravy was from a packet. And beware! The cornbread was sweet- if you're against sugar in your cornbread ;) waitress never would bring our ticket, so we just stood at the register waiting till she finally came out of hiding in the kitchen. This definitely wasn't southern cuisine!
