Growing up this was what my mom always picked up for the smaller family gatherings. Now whenever I need to feed a group at the last minute this is where I like to go. It never disappoints and everyone loves it. I hope they reopen soon. Business can be hectic in a restaurant and all restaurants have those "bad days".

I went to churches today on my lunch break and was told they only have thighs due to them filtering the oil. Which was weird cause they had just opened and usually you filter at night. But I went ahead and bought the thighs. I got back to work to eat my food open the book and the chicken was burnt and you can see where they cooked it in dark burnt grease! I was mad because I went to KFC first but I love churches biscuits and okra so I decided to leave KFC and go to Churches. This explains why there was only one car there and why they have limited business. I mean I paid $14 for burnt chicken, the okra was soft, biscuit was good, mashed potatoes tasted weird like their not following the recipe. But there is no way I would even feel comfortable selling someone some obvious burnt food. What type of person would think that's even okay to sell? The person in the car with me said "that's why I don't eat here" and I will no longer be returning. I even tried to call cause I couldn't leave again due to being at work but the number stays busy as if the phone is off the hook. It's very unfortunate how this restaurant everyone used to love has ran down and are now taking customers money and not giving them quality service or food. I'm disgusted. Money wasted!

The rude cashier that the last person is talking about unfortunately will make this location go out of business in a few short months if they keep him on staff. He is rude and unprofessional to say the least. On a Friday night it looked like a ghost town... for good reason. I will not be going back there. Go to KFC.

Forgot my extra biscuit and mac & cheese, and when I tried calling the number doesn’t even work how sad if I could give you zero stars I would.

I have came to churches mutiple times in hopes to get food. Everytime i arrive they always come up with some issue or excuse to not serve. I came around 1- to 2 pm a couple days ago and they say “ we are out of chicken”. Im very confused because this is literally a chicken place how could you possibly be out of chicken. I tried coming to get food from churches a couple days later at the exact time of 9:19 and they say they are closed when it is implied on the website that they close at 10. How are you allowed to close 40 minutes early? I’ve had many issues before hand that are in the past and i’ve overcome but this is the worst restaurant in my whole city. The whole management should be replaced .
