We picked up a company lunch today. We were told our food was on the 2nd table. A waitress advised give me a minute and I will help carry it out. There were two of us so we just started loading. Got to work and didn't have either of our meats or dessert. Employees had to go back. Waitress was rude to them and told them any extra sauces would have to be paid for. Too Top it all off, the 4th person to dig into the potato salad came up with a latex glove on the spoon! Called and spoke with manager. It was all our fault. We shouldn't have loaded food, and he made the potato salad himself, NO way there was a glove int it. 6 people were standing around and saw it. No compensation was offered other than he would help us out on our next order. This after we just paid them $453.00 for lunch with tip.

I didn't get to go here but I wanted too the other customer reviews where ranked high so being a high level google guide I wanted barbaque on memorial day and wanted to experience the establishment but due to having my new car deliverd the same day from the dealership It was impossible to leave the house cause I had to sign paperwork and give them the deposit so maybe one day I'll get there it's located downtown only 1.2 miles from my house

Service and atmosphere was great I did a carry out order for my 1st time bought over 80 dollars worth of food and when I got home to eat it was the worse food I have every tasted in my life. Ribs had skin on them, they was tough that you couldn't eat them. Sides was tasteless but the reviews said great food its not true at all. I literally threw everything away and wouldn't even give them to my dog. 1/10

Extremely disappointed. I came in for a to go order, ordered 6 chopped bbq sandwiches and 3 pieces of pie. Nothing extravagant or crazy. They were NOT busy by any means but it somehow took roughly 40 minutes for me to get my order meanwhile I can hear them playing around in the kitchen. When I get home (I live 4 minutes away) I discover that the sandwiches are lukewarm AT BEST! I also understand that bbq will have some darker Smokey bits in it but these sandwiches had SO MANY big burnt bits and pieces of gristle that were literally inedible we had to pick most of the meat out of the sandwiches. The buttermilk pies I was given were watery, gritty and just gross one of them was literally just a mess. I should have known it was going to be a mess when I heard one of the girls in the back asking who made the pies today 🤦🏼♀️ needless to say I wasted $67 and will not be going back.

So let's start off by saying that the atmosphere and the service was extraordinary and awesome... The taste of the food it was actually good. However, i had something like a sample platter, chicken, ribs and brisket. The taste was good. But everything was dried out you can tell that the meat sat all day. The chicken was hard as a rock. The ribs had no more juice or taste in them and also dry. The brisket it was halfway moist. If it wasn't for the barbecue sauce on the table, I would have sent everything back... Our waitress was really nice, so I didn't want to hurt her feelings. But this place was awful when it comes to they're meat. The collard greens, the side, the stew, everything else was good. We also went around during her time. The place wasn't crowded at all.
And I'm coming from the land of Texas, where barbecue is king.

SOOO embarrassing we paid 80.00 plus for Barbecue, my was family visiting from out of state. None of the meats were edible. Ordered 3 meats only got 2, and the pork was dried out, ribs were tough & under cooked. Worst meal I had since I been in LaGrange almost 40 years. Therefore we had tea and veggies, we expressed our concerns to the management which fell on deaf ears.
If you are looking for a down home barbecue meal, THIS IS NOT IT. Went on a Thursday night and ordered the conglomerate to get a mixture of everything since it was my first time trying it out and the outside smelled great before I came in. And of course they were out of chicken. Either the chicken was just that good or they didn’t cook enough for a Thursday. Ended up getting extra ribs. The so called sliced pork not only looked dry but it was very dry. Waitress asked how was the meal and I stated that the pork was dry and all I got was an I’m so sorry. Not a can I get you anything else or another piece from a different side of the pig or something. Just an oh well. At the end when it was time to pay I was asked again how was the meal. I explain how the pork was dry and the ribs were tough and at the time not even an I’m sorry or nothing. One of those looks that’s said just pay your bill. So I paid and will be the last time they get a nickel out of me. Off and yea if a the said the cabbage is season and good, don’t believe that, there was not even a speckle of seasoning on it. Just try at your own risk. But if you’ve never had great barbecue you might like it

It was a Wednesday night and not busy. There were only 2 occupied tables when we came in. We ordered (everything was already prepared; ribs, squash casserole, cabbage). 4 other parties came in after us and ALL of them were served before us. When we asked the manager what the hold up was, she said it was the kitchen's fault and she couldn't do anything about it. We were treated badly the rest of the visit. Completely unacceptable.
